Amazingly, I started a new project yesterday...this one:
I brought several mini patterns from Suzanne's Art House this time. I'm doing the largest of the minis, in the foreground of the picture above. Possibly I'm in a red and white mode right now because that's all I'm working on. These are the fabrics I brought from home:
Kitties aren't a lot of help when it comes to cutting in the RV. If we were at home, they'd be all over my work table, helping me hold things down. In the RV, the best kitties can hope to do is to stand back and stand by...to quote a famous former world leader.
In other red and white news, I filled my hoop yesterday. I kind of like the little Amish doll at the top. I'm assuming she's Amish because of her bonnet, and because I like all things Amish.
On a new piece, it's always a decision whether to move the hoop from side to side or up and down. In this case, I decided to work my way up and down. I kind of wanted to finish the dress and the hat.
Yesterday I did a little more stitching in the afternoon, and I'll do some more this morning. Probably I won't do any other sewing today because it's our grocery shopping day. Does it seem like we do more grocery shopping than anything else? We're often stopping in to pick up this thing or that thing, but today we'll be picking up a week's worth of groceries, and that always wears me out. The grocery store here, unlike ours at home, has one-way aisles as a COVID precaution, and we're forever heading down the wrong direction. It's one thing we haven't gotten used to in these weird pandemic days.
We have one more full day here tomorrow, and then we'll be heading south about two hours to Boulder City, Nevada, to another park we've stayed at many times. We're hoping for better weather. There has been some good outdoor dining in Boulder City in the past, and it would be nice to visit a restaurant, weather permitting. There's also some great hiking around Lake Mead.
So that's what's going on at this end. There's some wild weather out there right now, including snow in Tucson, or so I'm told. Stay safe, healthy, and warm. Longer and warmer days are coming.
