Oh that is this weekend isn't it? Only plans we have...squirrels are eating the vent covers off the roof so we (aka my husband) gets to spend the weekend crawling around up there replacing stuff. I plan to sit in the sun sewing and yelling up encouraging things!

Being from Canada, we had our long weekend LAST weekend (Victoria Day, after the long deceased Queen Victoria). I did many things, but the best part was going out for lunch with my hubby for our 7th anniversary!
Nothing special for Memorial Day. Going out to see my family the following week-end.

Is Memorial Day the May long weekend in the US? In Canada, we call it Victoria Day and we celebrate the Queen's birthday (although Victoria is not our current queen, heehee, the name stuck!). My family actually drove to the states for a little weekend getaway - some watersliding and some shopping! It was a fun time. Thanks for sharing - fun giveaway. We usually head to the States for a Joanns run during the Memorial Day weekend, but this year we can't make it. For our Victoria Day weekend (last weekend) we got together with neighbours and drank beer in the driveway and watched fireworks :D
I live in the UK, so it's not a celebration here, but it is the beginning of 2 weeks of time off school, so that's good! Unfortunately I also had foot surgery today so it will be a very inactive holiday, but still!
