Pay it Forward

If you'll recall, there was a pay it forward campaign going around the blogosphere.  I haven't seen it for a while, so I think it lost steam.  Here's my original post if you're curious.  My "Pay it Forward gifts have been distributed, and I've received word that they have arrived with their intended recipients.  So now it's safe for me to show you what I made.  They are little Christmas stocking tree ornaments from a kit I picked up when I attended the Northwest Quilt Expo last month.

Mine were made from a kit, and there were six different designs included.  They were a lot of fun to make, and super simple.  I still have three more to make, and I intend to give them as Christmas gifts a little later on.  As is usually the case, paying it forward is as gratifying for the gifter as it is for the giftee.  If I hadn't been looking for a project for this gift, I probably would have walked right by the display at the quilt show.  Knowing I needed to fulfill my promise, I found this sweet little kit and gained such enjoyment in the process.

You can find the pattern here, if you're interested in making some of these yourself.
