May UFO Complete

The May commitment for my 2011 UFO Challenge is complete.  This is the most complicated stitchery of the ones I need to complete by the end of the year.  It is not the largest, however.

This one is called the "Candy Cane Clothesline."  I like this one.  Embroidering those snowflakes is kind of a pain.  The next stitchery isn't going to have any snowflakes.  That doesn't mean I'm finished with them, however.

Also, I completed the 12-inch and 9-inch "Double X" blocks.  I still need to do a 6-inch one of these.

I'm so much farther along with this quilt than I ever expected to be at this point in time.  Thanks to Judy for coming up with the UFO Challenge.  Otherwise, I'd still be where I was at the beginning of the year . . . still working on the first stitchery, and having none of the blocks complete.  As it is, I'm a month ahead on the stitcheries.  Insurance, you know.

Beautiful work, Barbara! The stitchery is lovely, but the precision piecing is just awesome! I can never quite get mine to look that good!

I am working on the same block but I still have a lot to do. I have the tree on the left and some of the snowflakes. The snowflakes are not fun!

Each one of these stitcheries & star blocks makes me more anxious to see it when you're all finished!
Congrats on being a bit ahead of the game. :D
