April Showers Bring . . . Snow?

Does this look like April to you?

Remember these?

They don't have the same cheery effect like this, do they?

Mike pruned the cherry tree this weekend.  It's all budded out ready to bloom.  I wonder what this will do to the cherries . . . or the pollinators, for that matter.

We've lived in Portland since 1978.  I've never seen snow in April.  This is what our local weatherman had to say about it:

Yuck. I detest the hassles that icy snowy cold weather brings. I never learned to drive in it, being from Fort Lauderdale and environs; It’s all flat and square there in the land of no hills.

Our cherry trees are loaded with blooms too-just planted them last spring too--way cool. Hope we get fruit.

Nothing worse than having snow after the blooms arrive. I hope our weather keeps heading for spring, I couldn't stand another snow this year, guess we all got hit with more than usual.

I'm not just surprised at snow in April for you (more common here) but I am really surprised at how much you got!
