Good morning, my friends. Is everyone rested up from the Thanksgiving holiday? I know I can use at least another day of rest. It was nice to mostly take the day off yesterday. I've put out all the Christmas quilts, and the house is back to normal. It's good to be returning to the comfort of a routine.
Today we'll make a trek south to a quilt shop. I'm on the hunt for a back for the Merry, Merry Snowmen quilt, and I'm looking for some fabric for a Christmas table runner...a request from the family member of a friend. It'll be a good take-along project for when we head to warmer and drier climes for the winter.
So there was a little time for sewing yesterday. I stitched Tiny Treasure #24.
It's the last one for this go-round. Not to worry. There are still 58 more to stitch. I was planning to show you all 24 of the little stitcheries, but there was a furry distraction in my photo.
An offering of catnip took care of that. Here are the Tiny Treasures I have so far.
And then I managed two more blocks for the Stair Steps quilt. This one has a diagonal row of pink.
This one has a row of blue.
I need two more to finish the row. One will have a yellow strip and one will be all scrappy. Here are the three I have for this row so far.
I'm hoping to get two more finished today, but with a trip to a quilt shop, I doubt there will be time. The blocks are time-consuming. Once the cutting is done, they go together pretty quickly. The cutting takes a long time.
This morning I'll take the first stitches on Block 3 of Home is Where My Flock Is. These are fun to stitch.
And now, it's time for some breakfast. I'll get busy with my slow stitching, and then we'll head out. I was planning to go alone, but Mike has decided to come with me...just for something to do. We'll get lunch somewhere and make a date out of it. Of course, I'll show you what I purchase in tomorrow's post.
Also, I'm going to drop my secret project into the mail today. You've probably forgotten about it by now.
I'll be able to show it in a few days. Any guesses?
Okay...off I go. Have a good day, Everybody.
