Good morning, my friends. It's smooth sailing ahead. Except for getting our vaccine boosters, I think I have all routine medical procedures behind me. Yesterday's procedure was uneventful, and the findings were an improvement over my last go-round. That was good news. Unless I hear otherwise, I believe I won't need another one for five years.
When it was all over, we headed directly to the Black Bear Diner and had a big breakfast, despite it being lunch time. For whatever reason, that sounded really good to me in the moment. It did not disappoint. They served up the most enormous biscuit I've ever seen. When we got home, I slept hard for a couple of hours...probably residual sedation from anesthesia. The rest of the afternoon was pretty much sitting around doing nothing.
So, I don't have much news for you today. We're doing our grocery shopping, and then my calendar is clear. I can spend the rest of the day sewing. I'll get busy doing the top-stitching for the two Northern Wilderness blocks.

Newborn babies are such a miracle. You wonder how they can develop all those parts in just 9 months. I think that quilt will be well loved.

You may have said before what kind of stitch you use to topstitch your appliqué but can’t remember..blame it on stress of my life or just age..what do you use? Looking forward to see how you do all those little flowers.
Baby and quilt so cute. Thanks for sharing.
Doesn't that look so nice, the new baby with her lovely new quilt!
The baby sleeping under your quilt - so sweet. I'm glad your procedure went well.
I'm glad you are getting so many of your annual "maintenance" boxes checked, all with good outcomes. What a sweet photo of your quilt and precious baby. Both make me smile!
So glad you got good news and they pushed the next one out to 5 years. The baby is so cute with their quilt. Definitely a pick me up for a day spent in the doctor's office.
Yay for the good report and for the yummy breakfast! The babe and quilt photo is so fun. Always neat to see our quilts being used, right?
Glad to hear the test had good results and you have a five year reprieve. Yay!
Ahhhhh - a picture of the wee babe snuggled under your quilt, what can be better than that.
