Good morning, my friends. I'm writing fast this morning. I'm getting my haircut, and so my morning is starting early. Thankfully, my elbow has given me no more trouble. Weird how that stuff happens, and then disappears as quickly as it appeared. So I was back to my usual sewing routine yesterday. I'll continue to avoid the Bowflex for a few more days, but I have no more complaints.
Quilting continues on Calendula Patterdrip's Cottage. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I've turned the quilt 180° now, and so I'm sewing upside-down for the time being. I started with the three pieced blocks at the left edge of the quilt.
Then I quilted the pieced blocks below the crows on a tree branch.
Then I quilted some feathers onto the three nearest crows. I'm afraid it doesn't show up very well in this picture, but I always think birds need some feathers.
And that pretty well took up my hour of quilting. I left my needle down at the top of the witch's hat. If there's time for quilting today, the focus will be mostly on the embroidered blocks. Probably, it will mean a lot of outlining, but I'll add some little things in some of the open areas.
And I'm creeping up on a finish with this! Everything below the green line is quilted.
