Good morning, my friends. It's a sunny and frosty morning, and we're expecting good weather for the next three days. It's chilly, with highs in the high 50's, but it could certainly be worse. And it will be...mark my words. For now, we'll have a couple of days to get out and finish up some of the yard work that fell behind while we were traveling.
There isn't much to tell you about yesterday. I'm not even sure where the day went, but I was able to sew all the blocks together for the Jericho Walls quilt.
As I mentioned, we'll be working outside today, but I'm still hoping to get those borders finished today or tomorrow. I'll still need to piece together a back for it before it can go on the "to be sandwiched" pile. I'll do some slow stitching this morning, and then we'll get busy outside.
Yesterday, my friend Wendy reminded me that the reveal for my latest art quilt is coming up on November 1st. I'll need to write that post. Maybe you remember my piece...
Or maybe not. If you're wondering about this, then take heart. Just a few more days before I show you for real.
Mike just handed me two strips of bacon. I guess that means it's time for breakfast.

It is the life of the crystal, the architect of the flake, the fire of the frost, the soul of the sunbeam. This crisp winter air is full of it. ~ John Burroughs
Jericho Walls is turning out lovely (kitty help notwithstanding!). I really like the use of grey as the background.
I love how the gray quilt turned out looks great
I love your rendition of Jericho Wall. It is so different looking with a dark background. Well done. ;^)
I like the Jericho Wall quilt a lot! That's another that you've made that I'd like to make. It would be fun in symmetry fabrics.
Oh! That Smitty!
Be still my heart.....
Great work getting the quilt sewn together. It looks really good. Smitty is looking very important and he really does take his job as senior quilt inspector seriously.
I love the background fabric! It makes your blocks glow. Gorgeous purfect finish Well done, quilt inspector Smitty!
Jericho Walls came together beautifully. Hopefully you made some good progress on your yard work and still had time for some sewing room fun. The cold and rain hit on Friday, it's been very soggy here.
Your color choices for this quilt are terrific. I really like how that dark background makes the colors pop.
