It took all day long yesterday, but the quilting on Snow Globes is complete. It's going to be a busy day today, but I'm going to endeavor to budget my time so that I can get the binding sewn on by machine. That always ends up taking longer than expected, so no promises.
Of course, I could not have accomplished this without the steadfast assistance of my quilting buddy. He was there to the bitter end, encouraging me every step of the way.
So, my binding strips are cut. I'll need to sew them together and square up the quilt, and then I'm hoping to have time to do the machine sewing today.
As I mentioned yesterday, we're having the family over for a dinner of roast beast tonight. Mike is going to do the roast beast on his Traeger grill, and so I'll be doing the side dishes of mashed potatoes and corn on the cob. I'm also making a spinach salad that is a family favorite. None of that will take very much of my time, but I'm also making a lemon meringue pie. That is a bit more time-consuming, but oh so gratifying when I see those beautiful mounds of meringue at the finish. And who doesn't love lemon meringue pie? So, anyway...lots to do today.
Now, I need to check in with a little Blogger housekeeping.
