Mewtiny!

My furriends, you will not believe what I saw when I looked out the window yesterday.

It was a big, stinky, woofie...right outside our back window. And, I said to myself, "Enough is enough."

So, I called to my furriend Sadie for a confurrence.

As you might guess, we had a meeting of the minds, and decided to stamp our kitty paws in purrtest.

Mom and Dad, this whole situation has become unpurrable, and we demand a trip home this instant.

And, surpurrisingly, they agreed. If I'd known it would be so easy, I'd have purrtested much sooner. So, okay. That kind of took the wind out of my sails. But I told my mom she could take time to post the last images for the fibpurr arts show. You're welcome.

Little does he know that Mike suggested it earlier in the day. I think we're both ready to be home. It seems we've had all the fun we can stand.

So here are the last of the pictures I took from the Diamond Valley Arts Council Fiber Arts Show. This first one was the first place winner among the quilts.

Mike was simply amazed by this one.

This whole show was really notable for its three dimensional artistry. This one almost looked real.

This next one was also very pretty. Same artist.

Lots of detailed work.

This one was just kind of fun for its representation of California symbols.

I loved the colors in this one. If I'm remembering correctly, it had some sparkle to it that my iPhone camera wasn't able to pick up.

Finally, this one was the second place winner among the quilts.

I love how she did the fish scales.

So, we're taking off this morning. We expect to be home by Friday if everything goes well. I may or may not blog along the way, depending on whether I have anything to tell you.

Thanks to the many of you who have followed along so faithfully. I'm so glad you enjoyed the trip...or maybe you were just being nice. Either way, your many comments over the long haul were very much appreciated. It will be good to be writing to you from the comfort of my desk and looking out the window on the field back home. There will be a lot to do to get back to normal when we get there, but it's going to be wonderful to be home again.

You are just adorable with your kitty-speak. I love it! And thank you for everything you blogged - The hikes, the flowers, the quilt shops, the kitty walks, the food, everything. It was one of the best vacations I never had! Bless you guys and stay safe on the way home. I can almost feel your longing for your real house. Take some time to wind down before coming back here, we can wait.

I think everyone was ready for home a bit ago, but no one raised their paw to speak. It has been so wonderful of you to share your journey with us. Your eyes, photos, and commentary have made it feel like we were right there with you. Safe travels home.

I know exactly how you and the gang feel. Sometimes your fun meter gets pegged and it's just time to head home. As my father always said "It's good to get back to your own dung hill!". Safe travels!

I'm glad that there wasn't any blood shed in this Mewtiny. May your final days on this Celebration Road Trip be smooth and fun, where you soon safely arrive back home and settle in for the rest of Spring and a wonderful summer.

Thanks for taking me along on this awesome vaca! It seems that we can't wait to leave and "get away from the daily routines" to only be "more than ready to be home". I have enjoyed every mile of your journey and even recognized some places from back home in Texas. Be safe on this last leg of your journey.

It’s been delightful to follow along with your posts these last several months, enjoying the sights vicariously. Thank you for thatAnd Alfie and Darla enjoyed Smitty’s exploits, although they felt bad that Sadie tried to escape. All in all, it will be good to have you home again and settled back into your natural habitat!

Have a safe drive home. I would have had trouble staying away as long as you did. Today it is sunny and suppose to be 60. But you know it will be raining by Sunday.

I hope that the last of the trip is smooth. I've been gone a total of almost 7 weeks since mid December, and I've been sick thru several of those weeks, so, all I wanted the past few weeks was to be home. Now that I'm back home, I'm just trying to recuperate before I get back to normal. Take your time, and just get used to 'normal' again.

This has been a fun time reading your adventures and looking at the photos with the details included. You, Barbara, are a gifted story-teller among many other talents. What a trip! So enjoyable. Loving the kitties, too.
Have a safe trip back to Ranch!

It was so delightful to join you on your trip. (if truth be known, I have not totally finished reading through all your wonderful stops, but I will continue and finish the trip after you arrive home). :) I would love to do something like this one day, but don't think it will ever happen, so I'm glad you shared yours.

I live in Australia and I have loved seeing the places you went to. Thanks for sharing the sights and the quilt shops with us. And the kitties of course. Will they be pleased to be home?

I have also enjoyed the sites I'll never see and the shops I'll probably never visit. I'm glad it's been a safe journey so far and pray the rest of the way will be safe also. I still have Quilt Roadies on You Tube I can follow around the country. They're also from Oregon. I'm sure all of you will be so glad to get back to "Home Sweet Home". Enjoy the trip home

Thank you so much for the armchair travels and the kitty narratives.
I so enjoyed the blooms and the quilt shops. It was the best HBO show ever.
The history lessens were fun and awesome.
I still say you should put this in a book.
