You can also get a look at the candy cane stripe on the inner border. The stripes aren't consistent or perfectly spaced, but they look okay to me. In the image below, all of the different quilting motifs can be seen.
This quilting journey began on December 7th, and with a few days off, I've worked on it almost full time for nearly two weeks. To say I'm glad to have it finished is an understatement.
If yesterday was nothing but quilting, today will be nothing but binding. That probably won't take all day, and so I want to get a string block made for the Block Lotto today as well.
It was a lovely day yesterday. The sun came out and the snow sparkled...just like the metallic thread in the quilt.
It's always a good day when the mountains are visible. The temperatures were supposed to warm up over night, but when I checked this morning, we were still at 30°F. The snow outside hasn't budged. Today's forecast has things warming up, however. If the warm rain arrives as scheduled, the snow should be gone by this evening.
Aside from sewing, I want to get my grocery shopping list made up for a trip to the grocery store tomorrow. I've ordered a prime rib roast for our family dinner on Saturday, and so I need to pick that up along with the rest of the food for the roast beast feast. A little housework, and my day will be complete.

Nice work, as always!! Pretty view too. It's HOT here, I think it was 82 today. We could use some rain and cooler weather. I really need to get caught up on my blog reading!
Well, "hot" is not what we are experiencing here in MN!!!! Warmer is in the offing with the possibility of....wait for it.......rain/sleet by Christmas Day....yup, rain on frozen terra firma...ugh!! That quilt is a wonderfully sweet finish and it does sparkle!!!!!
I love how the quilt turned out. Great colors. I want to make this one too.
Oh how beautiful it looks! I know you are happy with this masterpiece! Enjoy
That is really coming along beautifully. Love your yard and view.

It always feels good to finish a project. It is lovely!
It's only fitting that the sun should come out and cause the snow to sparkle just as you have finished quilting the gingerbread quilt. It looks very nice, both the quilt and the sun! Hope you enjoy your roast beast feast! Wendy at piecefulthoughts@gmail.com
Your quilt is an heirloom to be treasured! Gorgeous!!! Congratulations to you for a job well done. :-)
Aaaaand another fabulous finish! Kudos!!
Pretty sparkly snow scene out of your window. Supposed to be in the 70s here today.
I love the holly border you quilted on this one.
Congrats on finishing up the beautiful quilting!!
The quilting looks great! Congrats on getting that stage all done. You are probably done with the binding by now, I'm slowly getting caught up on reading blogs.
