Wheel Estate in Rose Red

Yesterday I did all of the fusing for the rose red September Rainbow Scrap block. Here is my block for September.

It was tempting to do the trailer in a reverse of the colors, but I decided to stick with more white and less red. It still needs top-stitching, and the door, flamingo legs, and some details on the palm fronds will be stitched in. It's going to be a day of running around today, and so I probably won't get to this until tomorrow. Today I'm meeting Matthew for breakfast, and then I'm picking up my quilts from the show. I'll have a little time to put my feet up before heading off to pick up this week's CSA share.

As for the show, I have more quilts for you today. This first quilt is unidentified in my pictures. I'm not sure if it was unidentified at the show or if I neglected to take a picture of the identification sheet. In any case, I loved the quilting.

I have the book for this pattern. It might be a fun one to work on while traveling.

This next quilt is probably my favorite from the show. It won first place in the Pictorial Quilts category.

This next quilt was the winner of the Judge's Choice award.

I was interested in how she stitched the applique down. This is what I'm planning to do with Wind in the Whiskers.

This next quilt won first place in the Modern Quilts category.

That's all for today! There are still a couple more days of these, and so I hope you're enjoying them.

I wanted to thank you for posting over the last couple of days all of those quilt photos from the show. It has been so great to see the different designs and the quilting. All I can say is "wow". Sometimes when I go to shows, I almost want to give up quilting when I get home because I am no where near as good or proficient as so many of these quilters are. However, I carry on the best I can and it makes me happy to do so therefore I continue on. Love your Wind in the Whiskers. I too love so many of McKenna Ryan quilt patterns. I want to do the dog patterns she has. Thankfully I was able to find them on ebay. Thanks again for your great postings of your own and others quilts ... and of course the cats! Can't forget the cats!!!

I love your color choices, just the right colors for a trailer but still fun.
Enjoyed the quilt show and seeing the close ups, such amazing work.
