Furrustrating Morning

Good mourning. Yes, you read that right. Smitty here with a furrstrating tail to tell. Would you believe my mom brought home another streetwalker cat yesterday?

It's true. I thought we had an understanding, but there I was, sleeping on my kitty pole, when out of nowhere...I hear it. The unmistakable sound of a streetwalker cat, meowing, and dragging herself across the floor in a sad attempt at gaining pets. Pets! Pets that belong to me, Smitty!

And don't think I can't remember the last time this happened. So I staked out a spot where I could see my dad's office, and sure enough!

I could see that miserable hussy through the window and so I fluffed up my tail and raised up my back furs and gave a mighty HISS!

And I gotta tell you, my furriends. The news is not good at all. That cat didn't even startle. She didn't whimpurr. She didn't even flinch! She just stood there. I'm not at all sure that cat is right in the head. Because I'm scary and furrocious and any cat that isn't afurraid of me has to be daft!

Well, I've been patrolling the purremises ever since. I even turned on my lasers, just to be sure I didn't miss anything.

But even with that, what's the next thing I see? She's OUT!!!!!!!!! Holy Mouse Nuts!

Well. I was ready fur her, but I'm telling you, my furriends. What's a furrocious cat to do? If raising my furs and hissing doesn't scare her, I'm afurraid I've run out of options.

She took one look at me, and she just kept on coming! I've never seen anything like it.

Even when I took to my lofty purrch, she wasn't afurraid. She just sat there...mocking me...or something.

She even looked out my window! At MY YARD!

Well. I've never been so purrplexed in my entire life. Clearly, I need to regroup and furmulate a new plan.

I'll repurrt back later with my findings. Until then, keep the faith, my furriends. I'll figure out a way to get rid of this interlopurr. Maybe some hair gel to make my back furs stand up purrmanently...yeah, that might work.

Smitty! If you only had a clue about how much you are going to love Miss Sadie LOL!!!! Pretty sure she's already got your number. Before you know it, she's going to bat those long, shiny whiskers in your direction, and you're going to be her luv slave forever. =^..^=

You have entered the adoption date for Sadie as 2015, not 2016.

Rhonda, you are no reply. Sadie was born in 2015, and that is what my years indicate...birth year, not adoption year.

Does Sadie have a cropped tail? From the photos it looks short somehow. Love her rich golden-colored markings. My Calico has a kinked 1/4 sized tail that she was born with. Not quite as short as a bob-tail but almost. She hates having it touched. Robin in Portland

I figured that out after I hit "publish." I love your cat stories. We, too, have a Maggie.

Poor Smitty. She won't run. She won't fight. What's a cat to do?

She looks a lot like my Purrl. She crossed over the Rainbow Bridge years ago but I still miss her!

I think that Sadie might just be the best companion for Smitty - it looks like she isn't going to take any guff from him! Smitty - you may have met your match! And your best friend.....she is beautiful.

Now Smitty, I'm not exactly why you wanted to try to scare that homeless cat your mom brought home. We all know you have great leadership skills and so much talent, that I'm sure that cat is going to enjoying being in the cat #2 position, and will eagerly accept any cat pointers you can share. In no time at all, you'll have this new cat purrfectly under your paw. So, please be purrtant (aka patient). I think you also have a lot of room in your purrfect heart to share some love with this new kid.

I don't think she's going any place Smitty. But I'm sure you'll come up with a plan that makes you and your humans happy.

Smitty, we know you will be friends very soon. It is so good that your Mom takes in Streetwalker cats!

Oh I think Sadie has a crush on Smitty. Why else would she not be scared after such a short time in her new home. Come on Smitty...lighten up. I'm sure having a furry companion is much better than being alone.
