Dew You Think it Looks Like Fall?

Smitty and I went out to fill the peanut feeder this morning. Just last week, the weather was still warm. Now it's looking distinctly fall-like. This morning the grass was wet with dew.

Some of the trees are still holding their green. Others have given up, and are their leaves have been changing.

And some things don't seem to notice the difference.

It was a pretty sunrise this morning.

That's Mt. Adams off in the distance.

Today is a sewing day, except for picking up our CSA share this afternoon. At least one of the farmers will be available this afternoon so that I can give them their quilt. Aside from that, I'm looking forward to a quiet day.

Better dew than frost. ... or snow. Raked up the last of the maple leaves and dumped them on the gardens, will till them in next spring. I think I've raked over 20 wheelbarrow loads of them. There are more, but I'm done.
