They're really very tasty, and they're a great way to use up leftover chicken and rice. It's one of my favorite dishes right now. I had enough filling for just two peppers, and so making it up for him was a good way to feed him and to get it out of my freezer. Besides, when I spend a wad of cash on fabric tomorrow, I'll remind him about the dinner I made for him before I left. (The woman is always thinking.)
So as for the procrastination, I thought I might sew, but I didn't do a single thing. Possibly I just needed a day off. And then there is the packing. Do you hate packing for a trip? The trip is great, and I'm an enthusiastic traveler. I just hate the getting ready part. Now I'm ready to go and I can just look forward to seeing my friend Lenelda and enjoying the quilts with her.
Aside from that, I took some pictures of the sunflowers in the garden today. They are looking spectacular, and they are so much fun! I'm already plotting which seeds I want for next year's crop.
There are still a couple of varieties missing. They germinated later than the ones you see here. Since I can't remember which ones I planted, I can't remember what they look like.
And that's about it from here. Signing off. I'll be back with lots of pictures of quilts for you to see. Have a good weekend!

LOVE your variety of sunflowers Barb. Thanks for sharing! Your sunny photos made my day:)
Your sunflowers are so perfect they look like they are artificial. I don't think I've ever seen so many different ones in a garden. Lovely. Have fun at the quilt show.
Lucky Mike - the stuffed pepper looks mouth-watering!
Oh my goodness those Sunflowers are amazing. I can't decide which one I like the best - maybe the yellow with the red/orange brush strokes...no, the one with the bee on it...no....
Have a great time with your friend at Sisters!!

I love your sunflowers, they are all so pretty. But the more orange ones are my favorites.
I hate packing for trips. Getting ready for our recent 2 weeks away just about did me in.
