Here's the deal: I finished it last night after I had everything all packed up, including the cord that I use to take the pictures off my camera. And this led me to something of a panic because, as everyone knows, I can't walk around on vacation with pre-vacation pictures sitting there on my camera, now can I? Obviously. Well. So...what to do, because the cord is already out there in the camper. And I'd have to climb up on the bed to get it down. And if you're me, and you just had your 61st birthday, and your bed is over the cab of a truck, you can't just go climbing up and down there willy-nilly. Right?
So, here's what I did, and I just know you're going to be amazed at how clever I am. (If those refrigerator pictures didn't get you, maybe this will.) So I uploaded the image from my camera to my phone using my wireless Nikon app. (Amazing Feat #1.) Then, I posted it to Facebook. (Amazing might be a stretch, but Amazing Feat #2, anyway.) Then, I downloaded the picture from Facebook to my desktop computer. (Amazing Feat #3.) Then, I posted it here. (Amazing Feat #4.) Stick with me, and you'll go far on the Amazing Scale (Which I just now invented...oh, and Amazing Feat #5...inventing the Amazing Scale. Wonders never cease around here, let me tell you.)
So there you go. But I'm not done with my lasts. That there is the LAST stitchery for the Vintage Tin quilt. It's the tenth of ten. I took the first stitch on the first stitchery on July 15, 2013. Now I'm ready to sew the whole thing together. There are flying geese in my future.
Okay, so one more last. This is the last time I'm going to check in for the last time. At last.

How resourceful.
You can bring cooked poultry across the border in either direction. No eggs! You can bring cheese into Canada and pork is allowed in each direction.
Depends on the attitude of the border guard you get... and Canadian guards tend to be much friendlier and easier to get along with than the U.S. Not too sure which border crossing and route you are taking but Whistler has an active quilting community... otherwise, you probably won't be passing any quilt shops on your trip. Our quilt shops are far and few between but, if you can detour your route through Lynden WA... there are three shops there and I love Tangled Threads and also a stitchery shop whose name escapes me at the moment but I love going there... in the basement of a house, on the way to the fairgrounds and right off the main route. Whistler is a fabulous destination though haven't been there for years.
I had still not recovered fully from the refrigerator photos, and now this?! I am, as you might guess, amazed.
Folktales is the quilt shop in the basement. And Calico Country is also in Lynden, very close to the other two shops. There are lots of awesome quilt shops very close to I-5 which I am sure your quilt app will tell you.
I am totally amazed at the amazing amount of stuff you got in that refrigerator! I hope you all have an amazing adventure in Canada!

I'm astounded by your ingenuity in getting the pictures from camera to blog. When I'm all packed for traveling I try to remember to take photos on my phone cos it backs them up to my dropbox account which lurks somewhere in the clouds and I can post direct to my blog. Otherwise they sit in the camera until I can unpack the cable.
Love the final Vintage Tin block and looking forward to your new stitchery blocks.
