A Week of Blocks

Today I'm finishing up a week of working on blocks. For Sunday's project, I was able to catch up on my blocks for:

RSC 15

My project for 2015 is an adaptation of the four blocks from the late Pam Bono's "Cats in the Attic" quilt pattern:

For my quilt, I'm making three of each of the four different cats, but I am not doing them in the "attic window" style block. I'm just making them straight. My project is called "Cats of a Different Color".

March's block was yellow:

April's block is purple:

These are the blocks I have so far:

Now I'll probably put this aside until June. I've always done this challenge two months at a time, and that has worked out pretty well.

Tomorrow I'm going to get started on quilting the "Rubber Duckies" quilt for my friends' new grandchild, due next month.

I already know how I want to quilt it, and that's always half the battle for this quilter. Before I start on that though, I need to catch up on my housework. I've been procrastinating on that. Hard to believe, isn't it? It was worth it to be able to finish all of those blocks.

It was supposed to rain this weekend, but we've only had a few showers. Mike is out mowing right now, and I think it's the first time this year. We're expecting more rain through the week, and so the time is now.

The weekend has been pretty relaxed around here. I hope you've had a relaxing weekend as well.

Hello! I'm looking for Pam Bono's pattern Cats in the Attic. I can't find it. Do you know where can find it? All of searches have turned up nothing.
Thank you!

Love the bright fabrics for your Cats of a Different Color!
I'm looking forward to seeing how you'll be quilting the Duckies.
I made a few Happy Bowls so Laura can pick one for the Relay for Life basket. Worked today & finally decided what to make for the quilt swap - thank goodness they extended the due date!

Since Pam's death, the pattern has been removed from the internet, and is no longer available.

Pretty kitties! It will be beautiful when it's a completed quilt. Good luck with the ducks!

I, too, like the colorful cats. I'm getting ready to have a garage sale this weekend. Trying to declutter. Not easy.

Your purple cat makes me think of the book Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See? "I see a purple cat looking at me!" Cute cats!

These are really coming out nicely! I love the colors! I am hopeful that maybe, when the family's grief is more bearable, that they might release some of Pam's patterns for sale again. She had some really great patterns.
