September NewFO Linky Party and Giveaway

It's that time again! Another month has come and gone, and it's time to show us what's new in your sewing room for the month of September. We've been gone most of the month here at Cat Patches, but we worked really, really fast before we left to be sure we were ready when month's end came around. And here we are! It's almost as if we planned it that way! Whoa!

Everyone who links up for this month's challenge will be entered to win the September needle nanny, which just happens to be my purrsonal favorite.

Kitty tested and approved by none other than Smitty the Kitty!

"Yep, it's a good one. I've tried to snatch that needle off of it a couple of times, but it holds fast, even from my sharp, dagger-like claws!"

Thanks for your input, Sport.

So here's what's new in my sewing room this month. First, I started a new bluework housewarming gift for my favorite couple in the whole wide world, who just happen to be new homeowners for the very first time!

I've been stitching like mad to get this one done in time for the big day. Also, I started the Pony Express commemorative quilt, which has been on my to-do list for longer than I've been alive, practically. And I'm not exaggerating . . . not one little bit!

So now I'm ready to see what you've come up with for the month of September. Here are my easy-to-follow, friendly guidelines.

1.  Please link-up with your newly started projects from September, finished or not.  If you feel like it, show us the progress you've made on any other previously posted NewFO projects.

2.  Please link back to this post from your blog.  Also, please link to your blog post, not your blog.  Links to entire blogs will be edited or deleted entirely.  Also, this is not a place to advertise your Etsy shop or some other event.  To be clear, you may include references to other events in your post, but there should be something related to your NewFO's as well.  Links provided for the sole purpose of promoting other events or shopping experiences will be deleted without apology.  (Sorry, but some folks can't seem to resist crashing the party.)

3.  Don't have a blog?  Upload an image to this FlickR group and link to that.  If you have questions about how to do that or about how to link up, please email me.  If you're having trouble posting your image, email it as an attachment, and I will be happy to post it for you.  Also know that it takes a bit for your thumbnail to appear, so don't despair.  It will appear eventually.  You might need to "refresh".

4.  Obviously, I need some way to contact you no matter how you link up.  No email address and no other way to contact you equals no entry in the giveaway.  Email me separately if you need to.

I'll leave this linky party open until one minute before midnight on Monday, October 7, 2013 Winner of the needle nanny will be announced on Tuesday, October 8, 2013!  We will ship anywhere in the universe, so international and interplanetary participants are always welcome!

So let's see it? What's new with you?

Nice Stitchery. I am delaying Christmas as long as I can. I didn't have enough SUMMER! I'm linking up to a post I wrote last week in anticipation of the NewFO post. It shows my September NewFO with my Loyal Union Sampler that I started.
Thanks for the Link up!

Ahh, the comforts of home....man, woman and kittehs are warm and happy. What more could you ask for? (Personally, I'd ask for that adorable needle nanny, if the giveaway goddesses were inquiring of me! Giggle!)
So glad your trip was great, and wonderful memories made. Hoping your knee will surprise you with progress and lessened pain. Take care, my friend!

I can't wait to see pictures of the new house, you're planning on showing us, right? Because of your traveling that all seems to happened really fast, probably not for them though.

Nice house block - a great start for your Pony Express quilt. Or maybe it's a boarding house for the riders!!

Raven & Flame agree that this month's needle nanny is the purrrrfectly bestest one. Glad you made it home safely, you had quite the interesting vacation, and I think quite the interesting weather-welcome-home from what I heard about weather in the NW.

I am finally getting busy on the quilt for my niece's third child--which is good, because she is now pregnant with her fifth!
