Kitchen Interlude

Just now I sat down to take a break from my kitchen goings on.  So far this morning I put the topping on my cheesecake, made an appetizer, baked some pita chips...hm, I guess that's it.  Still many miles to travel before dinner is served.  Still, I wanted to take a quick break to share a couple of miscellaneous little items with you.

First, I need to link up to this week's Rainbow Scrap Challenge.

http://superscrappy.blogspot.com

Not much progress on my little ladies yet this month, but I did pick out my fabrics.  This month, my ladies will be dressed in these colors:

To see more rainbow quilts, just click on that button above.

Then, I want to show you some fabric I simply had to purchase after Rita shared a link with me.  (Thanks, Rita!)

Is this the cutest fabric you've ever seen?!?  I absolutely could not resist it.

And I just want to say right here and now that I really, really, really! (Really, I do!) appreciate it when you send me great kitty links of all kinds.  I love this stuff, and it does my heart good that you think of us here at the Three Cats Ranch when you see it.

Here's another example of a share from Lethargic Lass that had me rolling on the floor laughing.  If you want to know what goes on in the mind of a cat, this video has it pegged. (And since I know the videos don't always show up, you can see it right here.)

Finally, in honor of Mother's Day, you simply must read "A Mother's Prayer" by Tina Fey.

Get a tissue first.  It'll have you in tears from laughing so hard.

So that's it from me for today.  Really...have a Happy Mother's Day!  Signing off now.

P. S.  I almost forgot to say that I've linked my blog to Google+ after reading this post by Mike, The Amateur Quilter.  If all goes the way I think it will, you won't notice any change at all.  But if you notice something strange, please email me and let me know.

As the mother of a 14 year old girl, I so get Tina Fey's ode. Love the video. Fun cat fabric. Looking forward to seeing it show up in a project one day. Enjoy your mother's day!

Now I know why I don't have cats anymore. They are just too pitiful. LOL You did all that work on Mother's Day? I have a rule in my house now that I don't cook on Mother's Day or my birthday. Since I raised 4 and the youngest is 27 I've earned it.

Oh my goodness, how cute is that fabric?! Looking forward to seeing what you will use it to create :-) The 'Sad Cat Diary' video is hilarious--I'm sure that my kitties have similar thoughts!

I am trying NOT to buy that kitty fabric. It is almost too cute to resist.

Thanks for the dear diary link. And I thought it was just my felines that were weird. :)

Kitty Diaries is funny. The Mom poem is so true. And sometimes they do remember to call or text a thank you on Mothers day!

Oh thank you for the laughs!

Lovely fabrics - now, how to make a quilt so it looks like they are watching a play or a movie screen...?
