Today I did a little bit of sewing. I completed the top-stitching and the embellishing for the November Folk Art Cats block.
His halo is stitched from metallic thread as is the ring on the finger of the pointing hand. I used hot fix nailheads for the cat's eyes and for the button on the cuff, and hot fix crystals for the mouses eyes. I still need to finish the checkerboard border around the block that includes pieced cornerstones, and then this one will be finished.

Super job, you have really made a cute block here, Barbara; his eyes sparkle and his halo glimmers. Who could ask for anything more ~!?
Another adorable cat block. Reminds me of how my cat sits looking pleased with himself when he brings me a mouse present.
