June NewFO Linky Party and Giveaway

Well it's hard to believe it's the end of the month again already.  Believe it or not, it's time to link up your starts for the 2012 NewFO Challenge.  June has been such a busy month for me that I feel as if it flew by in just a couple of days.  Despite spending half the month halfway around the world, I did manage to start something new in June.  While I was traveling, I managed to complete the first two embroidered blocks for the Love Me, Love My Cat quilt.  I picked up this pattern at a quilt show.  Here's what it will look like when it's finished:

And here are the first two of the embroidered blocks.

And as an update, I finished the Wonky Schoolhouse quilt I started during the month of April.

But finishes are not what this challenge is about.  This challenge is all about starting something new.  So link-up any new project you started during the month of June, finished or not.  All participants will be entered to win this little mini quilt block pin.

I'm giving one away each and every month of 2012.  Each one is about 2 x 2 inches and handmade by someone with a lot more patience and cutting accuracy than I have.

Now I'm ready to see what you started this month.  Please link-up with your newly started projects, finished or not.  If you feel like it, show us the progress you've made on your other 2012 NewFO projects.  Please link to your blog post, not your blog.  To do that, just click on the title of your post to isolate it from the rest of your blog.  Then copy the URL and use that to link up.  If you have questions about how to do that or about how to link up, please email me.  And if you're having trouble posting your image, just email it to me as an attachment, and I'll do it for you.

Your kitty cat blocks are cute and so is the school house wall hanging.

Thanks for hosting the NewFO challenge, it's a great guilt reducer!

You really had some fun projects this month! How long are you keeping the linky alive? I'll post my June NewFO (I'm so excited I finally had one) tomorrow! :)

Love the cat blocks, does George approve? The school house is too perfect, I wish I was quilting when my daughter was in school, I would have made those for teacher gifts. I'm all linked up.

That is going to be a cute cat quilt - you are a whiz at embroidery. Don't know why the NewFO post didn't show on my computer. Maybe the link was busy.
