Daisies and Dots Blocks

Today I sewed together component parts of the thirty Daisies and Dots blocks.

Here they are laid out and ready to be sewn together into a quilt top.

The fabrics came together nicely, I think.  I still have to make a decision about the back.  I'm going to use that red batik for the binding.  That much I know.  I'd like to quilt it with red thread, which has me leaning toward a white back.  I'm thinking a white background with red polka dots would be nice, but that will mean buying some fabric.  The quilt blocks are 13.5 inches square, and so the quilt will end up approximately twin sized.

So . . . what do you think?

Wow! Dazzling quilt! A white with red dots would work as a back, especially if you are going to quilt it in red.

You definitely get a Whoop Whoop! It's wonderful! So cheery and happy... The red stitching would be gorgeous on a white back. I love the BQ2 patterns!!!

I have not seen that pattern before. Looks like it would go together fairly quickly (always looks easier on someone else's blog, doesn't it?). I think white or white with red print on the back would look great. Happy quilting!

Such a cute use of the fabrics you've chosen and the pattern. I've spent hours this week looking for my BQ patterns--I know they've been tucked into some fabric somewhere and I'll find them. Soo--guess I'll work on something else. Yours makes me really want to find that pattern!

Wow, that's a great use of a big, bold print! What a striking quilt!

That is a beautiful quilt and I particularly like it because it has Daisies and my name is Daisy. Is there a pattern out there for it or did you design it yourself.
Thanks, Daisy

You quilt is going to be amazing! If you want all of your quilting to show go with the white. If you would like a bit of camouflage I'd go with the polka dot.

What a cool block - is it your own design? I love how the quilt is looking!
