April NewFO Linky Party and Giveaway

Another month has sped by and it's time to show us your April NewFO projects!  Did you start something new this month?  We want to see it!  The crowd is restless with anticipation!

You don't have to finish it because the NewFO Challenge is only about starting those pesky to-do list projects that are always just hanging around cluttering things up.

If you started a new project during the month of April, link up and show us your unfinished business!  Everyone who links up will be entered to win this month's quilt pin.

Please be sure to link only to your blog post and not to your whole blog.  To do that, just click on the title of your post.  That will isolate your post from the rest of your blog.  Copy the URL and then link up below.  If you're having trouble, please feel free to send your link to me via email and I'll be happy to do it for you.  And please be sure to leave me a valid email address.  If I can't contact you, you can't win.

Here's what I started this month:.  The fifth of five doll quilts for my friend Lisa's youngest granddaughter:

This "Mixed Up" doll quilt for the Doll Quilters Monthly doll quilt swap:

(Whoops.  Finished that one.  I guess I need to work on my unfinishing skills.)

But this one has a long ways to go.  This is my Daisies and Dots quilt.  Speaking of pesky to-do list projects, this one has been on my list for over a year.  I even committed to starting it way back in August, and only got around to it now . . . in April!  Thank goodness for NewFO challenges or it might still be whining to move to the top of the list.

Also, I urgently needed to start this wall hanging for my friend Lisa, who is a teacher.  When I saw the pattern, I dropped everything else.  It too has a ways to go.

Three out of four unfinished projects isn't half bad.  (Actually, it's 3/4 bad.)  So sorry about that finish.  Finishing is most definitely not the point.  Nevertheless, I did finish the Irish doll quilt I started back in February.

Now I'm ready to see what you've finished during the month of April.  So link-up with your newly started projects, finished or unfinished.  And if you feel like it, show us the progress you've made on your other 2012 NewFO projects.  I'll leave the linky open for one week and announce the winner next Monday.

I finished three Bingo cards. I have uploaded the link for the last one. I also made a couple of birthday gifts but forgot to take photos. Hoping to get back to my friends place soon to get photos.

Love your doll quilts! That butterfly quilt is right up there with the pony quilt :) Can't wait to see more of your daisy's and dots, love that fabric. And the pin from last month is adorable thanks so much!! It's hanging on the speaker right next to my computer so I can see it all the time :)

This one made me laugh for sure. I have the opposite problem and have no business making NewFO's, but what fun I'm having.

All your work is excellent.

I actually had two great finishes this month. My brownie quilt which my husband loves and the bright color challenge Whirlin' Dervish.

I've looked at this every month and thought "you should get some pictures together", so I finally made it. You sure do get a lot done in a month.
