Camlyn's Doll Quilt Top Finished

This is the third of five doll quilts I'm making for my friend Lisa's granddaughters.  It's a little difficult to see in this image, but the outer border is a pink tone on tone fabric with castles on it.  In fact, I think I have a picture of it.

There you go.  I'm planning to use the same fabric for the back of the quilt.  The striped fabric to the right of the top image will be used for the binding, although I haven't made up my mind for sure on that yet.  I'm going to use some hot pink metallic thread to add some contrast to the windows on the castle, and I'll use it to add some bling in other areas too.  Also, I'll add some hot pink Swarovski hot fix crystals to the corner crowns.  I'm pretty happy with the way this one turned out.

For the rest of the week, I'm hoping to finish my block for the We Bee Learning bee.  Also, I'd like to finish the two paper-pieced blocks for the next installment of the Just Takes 2 quilt.  And if I still have time, I'm going to start on my NewFO for February.

After our chilly walk this morning, George decided it was his turn to nap near the basement fireplace.  He decided the flannel quilt that lives near by would make a nice comfy little bed.

Ooooh, the doll quilt is very nice and you haven't even added the bling yet. I love the border fabric.

This is turning out so pretty. The border fabric was a perfect match. will you be making your binding on the straight of grain or on the bias? When I saw those strips I thought, wow would that look good on the diagonal curling around the little quilt. Thanks for popping the pattern link off to me.
