Stitches in Bloom Quilt Show: Second Batch

If you missed the first batch of the images from this quilt show, you can see them here

The focus on this first quilt isn't the best.  I had to hold the camera high over my head to get over the heads of people admiring the quilt from close-up.  This quilt is called "Raven's Treasures".

I love the three dimensional detailing in this quilt, and the objects in the center are real.

This next one reminded me of hikes I've been on.  It had a very peaceful quality to it.

The quilting was so effective, it made me want to touch it to see if it was real.

This next one is for the dog people among you.  It was called "I Shed, Therefore I Am".

I love these paw prints in the border of the quilt.  So precious.

This next one is for Linda over at Stray Stitches, who loves cross-stitch.  I like it too.

I'm a fan of embroidered quilts, and so I like this one too.  (Let's face it . . . I'm a fan of ALL quilts.)  I especially like the use of pastels in this one.  It could be a baby quilt if the embroidery motifs were baby motifs.

This next one was just too precious.  I love the way the quilter used the designs on the fabric to add detail to the houses.  I love the bright colors, polka dots, stripes, and checks too.  Very eye-catching . . . at least to my eyes.

At first glance, I didn't think much of this last quilt, but then I saw all the three dimensional details, and I appreciated it so much more.  Very clever.

Those of you making blocks for the Just Takes 2 quilt will recognize this house from the last group of blocks.

This little quilt was three dimensional.

This little lampshade was so perfect, I think it must have been paper-pieced, and the quilting on the little chair made it look like upholstery.

And just look at the hair on these little dollies.  Some people are just too clever.

That's it for today.  I'll have more in the next few days.

These were all fun, but I particularly liked the ones with the raven, the forest, and the teapot! Thanks for sharing! :)

It was the shedding dog that grabbed my heart on this round of quilts. I am owned by a furry fuzzy cat who sheds when it gets warm.

Love the shedding dog quilt. The dog even looks like one of my dogs. Now, if we could just teach them how to use those products themselves. LOL
