Oregon in January Ready for Quilting

This is one I'm happy to have finished.  Although I only worked on it for a couple of days, I've been thinking about it for at least a month . . . ever since I heard what the theme would be.  Once I got an idea about how to do it, then it went pretty fast.  Still, I feel as if I've been working on it for much longer.

The blue border fabric is the same fabric I'm using for the back, and the striped fabric at the left edge of the image is what I'll use to bind it.  I'm pretty happy with how this turned out, and it does remind me of the Three Sisters in central Oregon.

As I wrote in an earlier post, this quilt was inspired by a design by Eric Gunson of Pieceful Expressions Patterns, called "Mountain's Light".

When I tried to piece the mountain, I discovered that I was missing a very important part of the pattern!  So, I wrote to Eric and asked him to provide me with the page I was missing.  I had virtually no expectation that he would respond, but he did!  This morning he wrote and asked for my postal mail address and said he would put a new pattern in the mail to me today.  That is very good service!

Finally, I want to remind you that there are still two days remaining to enter the Fabulous Final Friday Fun Fact Friday Freebie Giveaway.  But don't do it here.  Do it here.

Have you ever met Eric, his sister, and his mother at a quilt show? They are all very generous and helpful. They are also all very nice, as his identical twin! Your little wall hanging is cute. Sharon - ssauser@dishmail.net

When I saw the photo of your quilt, it immediately made me think of your foto finish photo from Saturday. This is a beautiful piece and I'm glad you got such great service from Eric! :)

This turned out so cute.
I know what you mean about "working on" things for weeks before you actually do anything that can be seen. I do the same thing, then it seems like it has taken forever to get the simplest project done.
