Occupy your Sewing Room begins two weeks from today! Are you getting all your sewing supplies in order? Do you have your signs painted? Be sure to have a box of tissues ready for interruptions from those who would lob tear gas at you and attempt to break your sewing stride.
You might want to pack brown bag lunches to avert any interference from hunger strikers.
So with all your plans in place, you'll have plenty of time to sew during the week. On December 11, 2011, I'll host a linky party. Join in by writing a blog post and linking up. Show us all that you've accomplished during your occupation. Don't have a blog? No problem! Just create a FlickR Set and post that URL. Linky party participants will be eligible to win fabulous prizes!
Update: I'm extending the time to link up through the end of the week--until December 16, 2011. I'll choose winners at random and announce them on the morning of December 17, 2011. And I'm adding another winner (that makes three so far) who will win this fabulous prize: Quilting Block & Pattern-A-Day 2012 Calendar.
Already in the prize mix are these two prizes awarded to an additional two winners.
$30 off on quilting a lap-size or larger quilt from Marcia's Crafty Sewing & Quilting Blog and a Moda Strawberry Fields jelly roll.
Yet another winner will receive a Moda Little Apples charm pack.
Help spread the word by blogging, posting the "Occupy" button on your blog or Facebook or Tweeting about the event for one extra chance to win. Just grab the HTML code at the top of my right side bar and then leave me a comment letting me know how you've done that.
There may be more winners and prizes added, so stay tuned for more event updates.

I may actually take a day off from work for this!
Snack food.. we must have our share of junk food to keep us happy. Think chocolate!!
Yep, that needs to be part of the plan....a stash of junk food and either a pot of tea or of coffee, to keep us going!! LOL Can't wait!
Your finish down below, and your two color picture are both beautiful! Have a pleasant (and restful) weekend!
I am so looking forward to this occupation!! The ideas are perculating like mad....
I plan to use this OCCUPY time to finish off those items in baskets, boxes, and bags. Maybe those 4 quilts waiting for quilting will get done!
It's like looking forward to a peaceful holiday, fun.
Billie's Quilts sent me and I am sure glad she did, mention cat, mention fabrics and I am in. I have been sorta depressed, but if I can get past 12/31/11 I am looking to achieve lots!
