Foto Finish--Things on Four Legs

Today's Foto Finish theme is "Things on Four Legs".  With so many animal lovers in Blogland, this should be an easy one.  Here's my entry:

Ha!  Fool ya'!  You thought it would be a cat, didn't you?  This is my neighbor's llama.  Many people in my neck of the woods have sheep and goats.  They keep llamas in the pen with their smaller animals to protect them from the coyotes.  A llama has no problem attacking a coyote and killing it, if necessary, to protect their charges.  I just love this guy and his tooth.  They were so curious whenever I approached with the camera.  I just threw in the snow in this shot for those of you still suffering in the heat.  Looks inviting, doesn't it?

For next week's theme, I think we'll do a color.  Haven't done that for a while.  How about:  Yellow

(I know, not very yellow, but true yellow is hard to see.)

Now I'm ready for your Things on Four Legs.  Here's Mr. Linky:

What a great photo and interesting information about why people keep llamas. You are right I was expecting a photo of one of your cats.

I did expect a cat shot. Love the llama. That tooth just adds to his(?) charm.

We are supposed to get highs in the 80s starting tomorrow. It's not snow, but I'll take it!

I love him! What an amazing animal. I did not know that llamas were used to protect smaller animals. How fascinating.
