Today's Foto Finish theme is "Water." Here'e my entry:
This was taken at the Portland Japanese Garden a few years ago. I went there on an assignment for a class I was taking through the New York Institute of Photography. The goal was to blur the movement of the water. It was my first time visiting the Japanese Garden, and I was quite impressed. It was a good time of year to visit, and while the weather could have been better, everything was in bloom. It was beautiful. There was a student rate, and I had a student ID from the NYIP. Feeling pretty smug, I showed them my student ID for the discount. The discount was wiped out, however, when they charged me for bringing in a tripod! That was a new one on me.
For next week's Foto Finish theme, I've been thinking about this being June, the month for weddings. In keeping with the wedding theme, I have the next couple of weeks covered.
Next week's theme will be: Something Old
Can you see where I'm going with this? (Don't worry, I won't ask you to post "something borrowed.")
Now I'm ready to see your water images. I'm trying a new Mr. Linky that will allow you to choose thumbnails. This is an experiment, and I don't know if it will work with FlickR or Shutterfly. It's worth a shot, but please let me know if you're having trouble with it. If so, I can always go back to the old way. Here you go:

What a beautiful photo of this waterfall. The colours of the foliage are gorgeous.
Great shot! Gardens are such fun to photograph.
WOW! That's beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful waterfall & gardens. Lead me to the picnic table & we'll have a nice lunch now! lol
Really? A charge for the tripod? Wow! Guess they must have been hurting for revenue & someone got really creative.
Lovely shot! I love waterfalls.
