Design Wall Monday--June 27, 2011

My sewing was all hand-sewing and machine top-stitching this week.

I completed the top-stitching on the September block for my Home is Where the Heart is BOM.

I finished the embroidery for one of two of the final strips for my Kitten's Tale BOM.

I started making the yo-yo's that will be attached at the top of each flower stem.  I'm using a Clover yo-yo maker, and I think my yo-yo's will go a lot faster than the previous ones.  It's an interesting little device.  Whoever figured it out was smarter than I am, for sure.

Finally, I finished the holly berry stitchery for my Winter Wonderland quilt.

Next week, I'd like to do more machine sewing.  I'm tempted to start sewing together those Kitten's Tale blocks.  That sounds like more fun than doing the free motion quilting on my Flip Flop quilt.  I dragged it out of the closet though.  I don't want to finish another quilt top before that one is quilted.

This is quite darling! It looks really familiar -- I'm thinking I may have a pattern for this. What's it a part of? Have a very happy Monday! :)

You are making a Flip Flop block quilt? Do you have the book? If so, you can see one of my quilts in the book. I didn't use a pattern, I just used the template and did my own thing. She was surprised and pleased when she saw the pictures and asked to included it in her book. I'm loving your applique blocks. Looking forward to seeing the completed quilt top.
