Quilting My Baby Quilt

I was able to get my baby quilt about one quarter done this afternoon. I followed the instructions from this video I found on You Tube by Nicole Webb of Yes, You Can Quilt.  She calls her design "Bottom's Up Hearts."  It took me a while to figure out how to turn the design, but I think I've got it worked out now.  She's doing hers on a long-arm machine.  I'm using my domestic sewing machine.

Here's a sample of what I've got so far.  This is the front.

I'm using a pink variegated thread on top.  Here's how the bottom looks.

I'm using a lavender thread on the bottom.  Mine isn't quite as smooth as hers, but it's not bad.  (I'm very forgiving of my free motion quilting.)

George took the opportunity to find a snuggle spot in a comforter I left on the floor.

I love the hearts. I'll have to give them a try. George looks so cozy in the comforter.
