I was able to get my baby quilt about one quarter done this afternoon. I followed the instructions from this video I found on You Tube by Nicole Webb of Yes, You Can Quilt. She calls her design "Bottom's Up Hearts." It took me a while to figure out how to turn the design, but I think I've got it worked out now. She's doing hers on a long-arm machine. I'm using my domestic sewing machine.
Here's a sample of what I've got so far. This is the front.
I'm using a pink variegated thread on top. Here's how the bottom looks.
I'm using a lavender thread on the bottom. Mine isn't quite as smooth as hers, but it's not bad. (I'm very forgiving of my free motion quilting.)
George took the opportunity to find a snuggle spot in a comforter I left on the floor.
