Foto Finish--Stripes

Last week's Foto Finish featured dots.  Today's features "Stripes."  Here's mine:

I took this picture as an assignment for an online photography class I took a couple of years ago on shape and form.  Our assignment was to focus on shadows.  I was surprised how much I saw when I went on the expressed mission of photographing shadows.  This is the siding on our aluminum pole barn.  Pretty cool, huh?  Until I went looking, I'd never noticed how interesting the light was on this otherwise boring and unphotogenic structure.  But there it is:  stripes.

What did you come up with?  I always enjoy seeing your interpretation of the weekly theme.  I've been giving next week's theme some thought.  Of course, St. Patrick's Day is coming up, as is the first day of spring, and Easter.  I don't think I'm ready for those themes yet.  (And I'm not above choosing "green" again for St. Patrick's Day even though we did it only just a few weeks ago.)  For next week, I got in my head that old saying:  "In like a lion, out like a lamb."  So for next week's theme, I think I'll choose:

Weather

With the harsh weather this season, I figure that should be easy.  Now here's Mr. Linky.  Show me your stripes!

I had quite a search through my photos this time for a suitable photo.

What an interesting photo, it really is pretty. Maybe we need to take a closer look at things we never looked at before! I'm wearing my stripes, I hope you like them!

Weather... hmmm... now that will be a challenge!

Love the light and shadow in your photo. That's the wonderful thing about photography classes, the assignments make you do things you never considered before.

Terrific verticals with those shadows - who would have thought it?
