The 27 Fling Boogie and a great big HA!!!

As you know, I've been following the Fly Lady's guide in my quest to declutter.  (Since "Qwest" took on that name, I almost always have to look at "quest" to make sure I haven't misspelled it.  Anyway . . . )  One of this week's tasks was to do the 27 Fling Boogie in my master bedroom.  It wasn't easy coming up with 27 items, but I'll bet I could have come up with 50 if forced to do so.  (I only had to pry my fingers loose a couple of times.)  In any case, I used the opportunity to "fling" some old purses and backpacks and those little "gift" make-up bags you sometimes get with cosmetic purchases.  I came across one of those, only it was from a purchase I made while getting my pedicure one day.  Of course, I looked inside all these little bags for forgotten treasures, and what to my wondering eyes should appear?

My long lost (at least two years ago) butterfly earrings!  I searched and searched and searched for these in years gone by.  Because they were both missing, I had to believe they were simply misplaced, and not really lost.  But they never turned up, and after a while, tearfully, I forgot about them.  So you can imagine my shriek of delight when I found them today.  I can only think the universe is rewarding me for my decluttering efforts.

Now I'm wondering if any of you are decluttering and if you've found any treasures because of it.  I'd love to hear from you if you have.

My daughter’s diploma from Massage College. I wanted to thumbtack it to my wall and she didn’t want it displayed. So we lost it instead !~! Turned up while cleaning out a lower cabinet which had NO other paperwork at all in it.

Just before Christmas I was looking for fabric that would be perfect for a table runner. I had just seen this fabric about two weeks before. I ended up going through all of my fabric (one whole wall of shelves), weeding some out, making mini bolts of all of it. Looks great, but I never found the fabric.

I found a Disneyland ticket from 1999....it only cost $39 to get in then! Out of 2 bags of 'stuff', that was the only thing I kept! lol
