Foto Finish--Scenic

As promised in my post from Sacramento, here is my entry for "Scenic," from our travels through the Siskyou Mountain Range:

This is Mt. Shasta, which appears so close that it gives the impression you could reach out and touch it as you drive by.  I have some images of Mt. Shasta in my stock library, but I was hoping for this one while we were on the road.  The landscape in this area is breathtakingly beautiful.

I'll continue posting some more scenic images as we travel along, so I hope you'll stay tuned.  And since I'm anticipating being in Death Valley as I write this, I think I'll make next week's theme:

Against All Odds

to honor the many living things (flora and fauna) that have survived the harsh conditions in Death Valley over the years.  It is a vast and unforgiving place, but also incredibly beautiful.  If you've never seen it, I hope you get a chance some day.  It is one of our favorite places on earth, and we visit there every chance we get.  I don't think I'll ever get tired of seeing it.

And now I'd like to see your "Scenic" images.  Here's Mr. Linky:

Gorgeous shot! It does look like you could get out of your car & just stroll right up to the mountain.

Oh that's just beautiful!! Despite traveling with my parents as a kid, we missed Mt. Shasta and my parents have since gone to visit it. I'd love to one day!! It's amazing and I'm so glad you shared this as your scenic shot!!
