Happy Thanksgiving!

Good morning, my friends. There's much to do today, and so I'm keeping today's post short. Yesterday found me dragging my feet every step of the way. It seems the more there is to do, the less inclined I am to even start. I spent longer than usual on my embroidery. It was an excellent procrastination stragegy. This is Tiny Treasure #22. This one is done with stem stitch, stem fill, feather stitch, straight stitch, and a French knot.

From there, I got busy making the sweet potatoes for today's dinner. I had a few other things to do in the kitchen, but eventually made my way to the sewing room late in the day. Sadie was going to be my helper cat for the day. When I arrived in the sewing room, she was fast asleep. She was so tired of waiting, she decided to take a nap. I can't say I blame her.

So all the pieces were cut for the first of five Stair Steps blocks. I think I sewed it together wrong three different ways, but finally, I got it right.

Knowing there are only two Tiny Treasures left to stitch, I decided to trace the next block for Home is Where my Flock Is. This is the third of twelve blocks for this quilt.

Here are the two blocks I have for this quilt so far.

While I was sewing, I received this text from Erik. Mae is bringing dessert today. She makes a fabulous apple tart. She was working away at it in this picture. Lots of apples. I believe these might be apples from their own trees.

So I'll leave you with that. There's much to do today to get ready for dinner tonight. I hope y'all have a wonderful day today, however you celebrate, and with whomever you celebrate.

Happy Thanksgiving, Everybody!
