Same Old Same Old

Good morning, my friends. Happily, it's a stay-at-home day for me. I've had to go out the last two days in a row. Oh, the humanity! We'll have to make a short trip into town tomorrow, but it will be fast. Today, though...nothing. I have some things to do at home that will simply be obstacles to my sewing, but there should be plenty of time for progress today.

It was lunch time when I got home yesterday. I had a light lunch, and then a good nap. There was no time for slow-stitching before I left home, and so I went to work on that first. The second block for "S" is for Sew is finished now.

Here are the two blocks I have so far:

(It seems impossible for me to take a picture of anything that does not include a bit of kitty fluff.) This morning, I'll start on this next one. They seem to take two days, and so I expect this one will be finished tomorrow.

I was kind of antsy to do some more work on the "Circus" piece. As I mentioned in yesterday's post, I've reached the most critical part of the subject. Yesterday had me progressing to the most critical of the critical parts, and that's what I'll be working on today. You might say it's where the collage rubber meets the road. The part that was finished yesterday was actually more complicated than what I'll do today, and so I'm feeling pretty optimistic that I'll be able to pull this off. It's never a given when I'm doing a collage. Here's your peek:

For the most part, I've been sticking with the one-hour rule, and I don't think I can finish it in an hour today. Probably the collage portion will be finished by tomorrow, and then I'll have to figure out a background for it. Already, I have some ideas.

From there, I headed back upstairs to work on the quilt binding. I've turned all four corners now, and there are about 40 inches left to stitch. I should finish this easily today.

Today's routine will be pretty much my normal day. A workout, then a little housekeeping, then more sewing. And snuggling with cats. Snuggling with cats is always a given. And, with that final thought, I'll get on with my day. Cats are awaiting my return.

Cat fluff is real! But, as a fellow cat lover, I never want to be without my cat and the resulting "fluff"! LOL

So, do the kittys come to you for snuggles, or do you entice them ?
I need winter to be done. It's been one heck of a cold winter. Lots of cuddles and snuggles,so that's not all that bad.

I surely do miss kitty snuggles but sadly the RC has developed an allergy to them so no more kitties for me. You'll just have to give yours some extra skritches on my behalf.
I'm liking the simple little sewing stitcheries you're doing.
