Good morning, my friends. Welcome to Wednesday. It was a run around day yesterday. I made six stops before I could return home. Some people say no news is good news, but it's bad news when one is too busy to generate news of any kind. It was a weird day too. As I mentioned, I got a haircut. My hairdresser put some conditioner on my hair and that required I sit with my head tipped back and nestled in the shampoo bowl for 10 minutes. Add that to another five to ten minutes required to wash and rinse, and I had my head tipped back like that for about 20 minutes. I have an on-again, off-again problem with Benign Positional Vertigo, and sitting with my head tipped back like that brought it on. Since that was my first stop of the day, I spent the rest of my outing feeling as if the ground where I walked was at a tilt. I'll just say I was glad I had the shopping cart to hold onto while I did my grocery shopping.
Fortunately, some years ago I learned that I can perform the Epley Maneuver on myself at home, and that usually takes care of the problem, as it did yesterday. Nevertheless, I spent an uncomfortable day trying not to fall down while also trying to walk in a straight line. It made for an exhausting outing.
Earlier, I'd spent a good long time on my slow-stitching. It was my only sewing of the day. I filled in the rest of my hoop and then moved the hoop to the right. The piece is a little more than half finished now.
One thing that made yesterday's outing more enjoyable was listening to an interview with Bisa Butler on NPR. If you're unfamiliar with her quilts, here is one I've seen many times. It is currently on display at the Toledo Museum of art. She calls this piece, "The Storm, The Whirlwind, and the Earthquake."
You can see more of her quilts in her online portfolio, and you can listen to the interview on NPR right here.
When I got home, I took a nap, and then planted the bean seeds that were sprouted on wet paper towels. That means the garden is fully planted now. I still need to repot the tomatoes into their largest pots of the season. When that's finished, there will be nothing to do vegetable-garden-wise aside from hoeing weeds and watching things grow.
Today I'm getting my monthly pedicure, and that will be the extent of today's running around. When I get home, I'm going to bake a Skillet Cherry Cobbler for Two. It's National Cherry Cobbler Day, and so it is practically a requirement. Already this morning, I spatchcocked two Cornish game hens and got them going in some marinade. Cornish game hens were already on this week's menu. When we had such delicious chicken with Erik and Mae a few nights ago, we asked for the recipe and they were happy to share. You can find the same recipe right here. We'll be doing ours on our Traeger grill, but otherwise, we're following the same recipe. Mae's hand-written notes on the recipe indicate adding a dash of Tabasco to the white sauce.
Let's see...what else? Like I said, there isn't much news to report today. There probably won't be a lot tomorrow either. Nevertheless, I'm hoping to get at least a little bit of sewing done today. It's been several days since I was able to get into my sewing room, and that is never a good thing.
When I came upstairs to write this post, I left the kitties preparing to soak up the morning sun.
I have an early start this morning, and so it's probably best I get going. Fingers crossed the day goes better today. Fortunately, the dizziness has passed, and so, if nothing else, I'll be able to walk a straight line.

I'd say the special conditioner isn't worth having to walk around like a drunken sailor for a whole day. I'm glad you were able to resolve it quickly. Here's hoping you get some gentle spring rain now to water the seeds. We haven't had any rain in over a week and none on the horizen. On top of that, there's a freeze warning tonight.

I've never heard of BP vertigo, and I dont think I want to make it's acquaintance. Not a nice thing to experience, I'm sure.
I get vertigo when I am very dehydrated. I'm sorry you get positional vertigo. I know that my vertigo occurs when I turn on my right side in bed so I understand. It sounds like you had a very busy day. Glad your garden is all planted. The kitties look very content.
I sure hope your day went better today. Pretty darn good that you could still get all your stops in even though your world was tilting!
You'll have to tell your hair stylest to cease and desist with that type of conditioner treatment. Surely there's something else they can use that doesn't cause your world to tilt. Good thing you know a good remedy.
