Tenth Blogiversary Giveaway

Sorry, this giveaway is now closed.

Holy Moly! It's our 10th Blogiversary!

The kitties are ready to party!

Yes, it's true. If you've been reading all that time, then that's ten years of your life you can never get back. And, frankly, when it comes to 2020, you might just want to forget this year altogether. And hey...thank you to all who have followed along so faithfully. The kitties and everyone here at the Three Cats Ranch are grateful for your support over the years. When I started this blog, it was simply because I was a relatively new quilter, and I wanted to join in some of the online activities and challenges. After so many years, it has evolved into my near-daily letter to friends, including you. Your comments, your humor, and your input have been sincerely appreciated.

So let's see what we're giving away today, shall we? How about a 12-fat quarter bundle of "Sunkiss Petite" by Tilda Fabrics.

They're so summery and light. It seemed like a good way to sew away the COVID-19 blues.

Okay, so here's what you need to do to be a winner.

1. Just leave a comment...any comment will do. If you can't think of anything, then tell me about how you're keeping busy while you're self-isolating.

2. Since this giveaway is to thank those of you who have followed along over the years, prizes are reserved for followers only...new, old, salty, sweet, bitter, and twisted...just step on up and tell me how you follow. If you want to become a follower, you can find lots of ways to do it there in my left side bar. Also, I will ship internationally, so all residents of Planet Earth are welcome to join in.

3. If you're no reply, be sure to leave an email address. You can't win if I can't contact you.

So good luck, and a big thank you for helping us celebrate the day! I'll leave this giveaway open through Saturday, July 18th and announce the winner sometime on Sunday, July 19th.

Barbara, I hope you are enjoying your vacation. I've been following your blog for about 2 years now, simply from my favorites toolbar. I truly enjoy your writing and humor. You usually leave me smiling, and who doesn't want to do more of that?

Vroomans' Quilts said...

How lovely for you to host your Anniversary give away while on your vacation. You made me look because I know we started blogging very close to the same time (yup). Thank you for 10 wonderful years of sharing, photos, kitties, and inspiration.

Yours is the first blog I read each day. Really enjoy the cat's antics. I have 3 siamese who help me with my quilting. Admire your pawtrates and am trying to attempt ones for my animals.

awww - the kitties look so cute sporting their party hats! I hope they're getting special treats too. Congratulations on ten years blogging - made me think that I should look up how long I've been mumbling at people too. I have you on my 'blog lovin' feed list so I don't miss anything. I was a follower several years ago and for some reason you got lost but now I'm back and enjoying catching up with everything you (and the kitties) do.

Sandra W said...

I think I've followed you for about 5 years--but for at least one of those years I was just a lurker. I can't even remember how I found you.
The sewing interests me most and, of course, the cat tales. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed your RV experiences.
And Tilda fabric is so lovely, and not that easy to find.
I'll pay postage (Canada) if I win.

Siggy Bee said...

I enjoy your quilting, embroidery, cat tales, gardening, cooking and RV experiences....all the things I enjoy also!

Congratulations!! I have been following you for about 2.5 years. I enjoy reading your post every day - even when I'm traveling! I enjoy the crazy antics you all get up to and it makes me smile to have a positive read each day. I follow on blogspot. I found you on My Sew-Called Quilts site and have been hooked ever since. Since being in isolation, I've started sewing and quilting more. My business has slowed down and my sewing machine is right next to my desk. I turn up the volume to see if an email comes in, but otherwise you'll find me sewing ~ recently masks and table runners. I'm working on the QuiltFabrication Chocolate Dipped Strawberries table runner. I thought I would learn a new method - paper piecing! (https://www.quiltfabrication.com/2020/04/chocolate-dipped-strawberries.html). Here's to another 10 years!! Hope to see the pictures of your camping trip.

Happy 10th Blogversary! That’s quite an accomplishment and I agree with you 10 yrs. goes by so fast. My 21yr. old son was just my 11yr. old baby 10 yrs. ago. So fast... Please slow down... I live in NewYork out on Long Island, we’ve been home mostly. College is now online so my son is home, my husband unfortunately was laid-off but, it hasn’t been so bad. We’re all healthy, including my parents who live around the corner. I’ve made many masks and a few quilts all from my stash. Let’s all pray 2021 is a much better year, this year feels like the Twilight Zone. I follow through Bloglovin. Congratulations!!! Toni Anne

I enjoy reading your blog everyday. So much fun to hear about the weather on the opposite side of the continent from me (eastern MD) .. and to see what grows around you ... and hear about what you are making. :) I admire your system of working on things for a while and then switching up - I have not mastered that approach as I tend to hyperfocus on whatever I'm working on at the moment. :)

I follow on Bloglovin. 10 years is a long time. I have been in NC for 15, seems like 2 years. Since Covid I have made at least 18 quilts, probably more, lost count, 150 masks and broke my right wrist for the second time. It is slow at healing this time so I am reading a lot. I want out of the house. Congratulations, enjoy, celebrate! Jmikebalou (at) aol (dot) com

You have also been very generous with your time and talent when I have contacted you privately with quilting questions. Thank you! Hope you are having a blast this week and enjoying your getaway!

Congrats - my how time flies. I started following you when Buddy and Smitty were were having a little cyber competition. I'll follow a cat anywhere. I've really enjoyed your photos and posts about your RV trips. It's been forever since I have been anywhere (really, maybe 20 years) something always seems to come up with having to care for my cats so I just enjoy my backyard and day-trips. My backyard is really starting to look good. Take care and stitch on - I need some more inspiration.

Wow, TEN years! Congrats! I started blogging in 2011, I think I may have followed you at least nine of them! Can't believe how time flies. Wishing you many, many more. I haven't won anything for a long time. Maybe this will break my chain of luck and turn 2020 around. Let's do this!

I use to follow the blog, now for time constraints, I follow via fb. (so message me there if I win..I rarely check my email anymore). I was loving the self isolation, but have gotten a tad lax in being careful anymore. I hug my grandkids again, and even visited with children from down state. Hope I don't regret that :( I just order a sewing machine for a 10yr old granddaughter to teach her to sew. That will be my summer past time until they head back home at the end of summer. Hope you are well. PS on fb I follow as Mickey Louth.

Holy Cow. I was away for a few weeks and come back to find it is a special occasion. Good grief. A decade? I feel like I've aged a decade in the last five months, so how long have you really been blogging? To answer your question, in the time I have been spending away from the internet I have been working on my works-in-progress and now have a tidy little pile, waiting to go to my long-armer, if I can ever leave the house, and a messier pile waiting for me to get busy and quilt them myself. Which is giving me room to start new quilts! Oh, the never-ending circle...

I hope you will continue your blog for many, many more years!!
Thanks for a great giveaway!
Safe travels!

The fat quarters are beautiful. I check in on your blog every morning and enjoy reading about your travels and quilting adventures. The cooking and gardening are mouthwatering, too. Happy Blogaversary and thanks for the chance to win.

You know, I never “followed” you before. I just visit your blog daily. Maybe that makes me a stalker - I sure hope not! I too, love kitties and fabric and gardening and visiting beautiful and interesting places in the US. I suspect you and I would have a lot to talk about if we ever met. In any case, I hope you are enjoying your trip, and I look forward to some lovely photos when you return. (Btw, did you notice that I did not say that I enjoyed cooking as much as you do? I don’t). Have a good trip and stay safe! mammich at comcast dot net.

Not sure it counts but I follow by coming by everyday! Congrats on 10 years! I enjoy reading about your cats, quilts and travels. I’m trying embroidery in my isolation time and to try to snack less! Golfing now that things have loosened up a bit. Enjoy your trip.

Wow 10 years!! Congratulations! I follow by bookmarking your page into a folder called "Daily" that I open daily (I use Firefox as a browser). No, I haven't followed you for 10 years, but I have for the last three or so. During quarantine, I have been busy establishing a perennial pollinator garden in the hard Texas clay / cliche / limestone that is the dirt of my lawn. Now that it is July, I am hiding in the house with the my son and daughter to escape the heat.

Barbara,

I read you faithfully. If I miss days, I read until I've caught up. I think I've been reading you a couple of years, but you know, my brain is older now and not so good at retention...

Happy 10 year Blog-iversary!!!

Congratulations on your long running blog! The length of time put into this effort, your determination this year to continue being productive using the white board, and the volume of photos speak highly of your determination and commitment. I found your blog as I began retirement and usually catch up a couple times each week unless we are traveling. Your blog captured me because my husband and I are RVers, too. Other reasons include that I also quilt, machine embroider, garden, read daily and love my cat herd. In addition to enjoying similar hobbies, I appreciate your humor and dry wit. Here's to another 10 year anniversary,
Connie W.

My opportunity to tell you how much I appreciate you and your blog! I am a cat lover, gardener and of course, a quilter. I follow you on Bloglovin and look forward every day for your latest post. I am also a food preserver and have made many of the recipes you have shared with great success! I live half way up Vancouver Island and have been down to Portland and over to Sisters more than once. Look forward to exploring more down your way in the future. ROAD TRIP! Anyway, I wanted to say thank you for being your witty self - I sure enjoy your posts! rsvp15atshawdotca

Congrats on 10 years of blogging fun! I started following your blog back in 2010 because of your Foto Finish Saturdays. The linky forced me to get out the camera a lot more than I do today. It was a nice way to sharpen those skills. I share your bread recipes with My Guy and we both have enjoyed seeing the country when you and Mike are out and about. The Scientist in Training always wants to see pictures of the kitties. It's always fun to see what's going on in the sewing room and what new embroidery project you've got going. I'm definitely following along for the next ten years.

I haven't been following for the whole 10 years but I have enjoyed your blog many of them :) I especially love hearing about Smitty and Sadie's adventures! I follow via Feedly and pray it never goes away, like some readers in the past have done.....oops did I say that out loud curses I've doomed us!!

Congratulations on 10 years blogging! I have been a follower for several years via Bloglovin and Facebook. Mr Smitty drew me in because he and my cats are the same age and look like they could be brothers. I'm spending my "safer at home" time trying to finish UFOs, made a lap quilt for my neighbor diagnosed with breast cancer and finally started making the blocks for a pattern I've been wanting to do for a few years.

I can’t remember how long I have been following you. At least 6 years I think. I get your email but I first stared following on Bloglovin. I get my kitty fix thru you as our son and grandson are so allergic they can’t visit when we have a cat. At the beginning of the stay at home order I accomplished a lot of sewing. But the last 7 weeks have been for healing. 4 more sleeps before I return to the doctor. Hopefully my sling comes off and I get to start moving my arm again. Then I get to learn how to lift my arm again, I have to admit I have mixed feelings as I know how much it is going to hurt. But also know it has to happen because I have a lot of projects that are on hold as my dominate hand and arm have been immobilized.

Congratulations on your anniversary! My Mom has been following you for years and I've become addicted to updates on your two cats. My day isn't complete without knowing what they've been up to! I recently signed up to follow you via email. Mom and I have spent our days self isolating in our flower gardens. Very hard to complain when surrounded by such beauty! Wishing you many more years of blogging!

I’m thankful for your blog mostly because of your tortie ! I have one also and began keeping in touch because of her...tortise shell cats are definitely special and unusual! I also love hearing about all your travels! And I am so impressed with how you still quilt while zooming around the country! I’m the nutty lady from Arizona who wanted you to come visit me when I found out that you were right by my home ( last year?)!
Anyway, I’m also a big fan of Tilda’s and would love to make a small quilt for a pillow covering of her cat pattern with a big and a little cat. The sunkiss fabric would be the perfect colors for my bland bedroom! Thank you for being you and for your blog!

I'm so glad I found you about a year ago or so. I love reading about all of your travels and the kitties, and all of your quilting and cooking projects. I can relate with you on making the grocery store runs. I use to enjoy it, but not anymore.

I have been a faithful follower since you took your trip across the states, (what, a couple of years ago?) when that big fire was on the Columbia. My sister had just moved to Portland and was terrified! My cat (Lucky) and I love your post and your kitties! Keep up the good job, I will continue to follow and read your email each morning while the coffee is boiling! Thankyou for a wonderful time!
