Merry Christmas and a Winner!

Hey, Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! Happy Hanukkah! Happy Kwanzaa! And those are all the holiday greetings I know, so my apologies if I left you out. We had a very nice celebration here...good food, good company, good wine. Here we are all gathered around the holiday table, ready to dig in.

Side dishes by Mom. Prime rib roast by Mike. Salad by Mae. Unlike Thanksgiving, I remembered to take a picture of the pretty dessert Erik and Mae picked up at a local bakery. It was the perfect thing...very light, and so it went down easy after a big meal.

Christmas Eve is our big celebration, meaning a lot of clean-up occurs on Christmas day. By day's end, no one will ever know the holiday was here. Aside from undecorating, it's a day for making packing and grocery lists, and I'm hoping to get in a little sewing.

For now, let's get to that giveaway, shall we? I've spun the dial and come up with...

#51--Little Penguin Quilts

Congratulations, Little Penguin Quilts! I've sent you an email, so check your inbox.

If you didn't win, then don't despair. If you really, really, really wanted to win this, you can find the tutorial to make your own right here. Honestly...it's super simple to make. If you have some scraps and an hour to spare, you can get 'er done.

So, not much to report this morning other than what I've already told you. However you celebrate the day, I hope it's a good one.

How very pretty! The dessert and all the other foods. Glad y'all had fun! Now that it's over, tho, you can get back to sewing!! Do the kitties stay out when family or friends come over? As you know, Bailey always puts on a performance... It's embarrassing, yet we cannot seem to stop her!

Congrats to Little Penquin! Your table looks lovely, it is nice to have grown ups as family. The dessert does for sure look amazing! I am not likely to un-decorate so quickly, I need to wait for my next burst of energy, and those are fewer and further between than they used to be.

Oh, that dessert looks delicious. We are in food coma state here; I seriously need to eat something a bit lighter today. Glad you enjoyed your time together and the food/wine/conversation was good! Congrats to Diann on the winnings!
