Welcome to Cat Patches' Quilters Meet & Greet.

We're Smitty and Sadie, your Meet & Greet catbassadors:
Our mom writes this blog...sometimes. Sometimes we take over and write it ourselves. It's the only way to get things done right, if you know what we mean. She's been writing it for eight years...longer than we've even been alive! So here's what goes on at the Three Cats Ranch. That's where we live...only there are just the two of us. Don't ask us why it still has that name. We're confused too.
Our mom makes quilts. She makes all kinds of quilts. She likes to hand embroider with her weird looking paws:
She likes quilts of all kinds. Sometimes she cuts her fabric up into itty bitty pieces and then sews it back together. Don't ask us why.
Sometimes she likes to do applique.
Sometimes she does these weird art quilts from her own photographs. Here's one she did just a couple of months ago. She still has to quilt it. That'll be something to see.
She likes cats a LOT. And she likes quilting a LOT. Sometimes she can't decide which she likes best, and so she makes cat quilts. These are the ones she made of us.
And then other times, she likes to do things in the kitchen. Oh, yes. Purrdon our manners, but we almost forgot. Help yourself to a cookie.
She bakes sweet things all the time. She's especially fond of little pies for two.
Then she whines about how she isn't losing any weight on her diet. And then she decides to bake bread...multigrain, so no calories. Ha! As if.

And she likes to work in her garden too...we help sometimes.
Right now she's growing sunflowers
and tomatoes.
She cans pretty much everything that grows.
And here's a warning...Keep yourself moving while you're here, or you might end up in a jar.
She takes lots of pictures of virtually everything. Her favorite pictures are of flowers and prairie dogs. She can snap off hundreds of pictures in just a few minutes! We'd show you all of them, but really, you probably want to get on with your life at some point, don't you? But since you asked, here are a few of her faves.
And she likes to travel in an RV with our dad. They went on a trip around the perimeter of the good old USA last year. They drove 19,000 miles. My mom's favorite part of the whole trip was seeing the Statue of Liberty for the first time. There, they took the requisite and shameless selfie.

Good grief. That's our dad. They've been married 43 years. They are so old.
Oh yes...and they made us come along. We don't like traveling, but they miss us when they're gone, so we go...reluctantly. It's one of our most impurrtant jobs...keeping the old folks from getting lonesome. We have a catio that hangs on the side of the RV so we can get outside sometimes.

So that's kind of a cats' eye view of what goes on here at the Three Cats Ranch. If you read regularly, you purrobably already knew all that. And if you don't...well come on over and follow along on our travels. There's never a dull moment. Check up there on the left side bar, and you'll find lots of ways to come along.
Right now, head on back to Benita Skinner's Creative Space to meet some other quilters. And don't forget to click below to be entered in the drawing for the Great Grand Prize.

This was such a fun post -- definitely filled with things "you"! I really like your Embroiderer's Blessing piece. I don't recall seeing that before. Have a happy week! :)
Smitty is the host with the most!
Lovely post - especially written from the viewpoint of your beautiful fur babies! Enjoyed it very much! My hubby & I have been married 44 years -- so we're old, too! : )

Smitty and Sadie did a wonderful tour of their world!! Thanks for sharing :)
Thank you Smitty and Sadie for being the guides to your mom's post. It's been fun to come by for a visit. There's always good quilty fun and a recipe that I pass on to the resident cook, My Guy pretty much every time I stop by for a visit. And always lots of eye candy of the floral variety.
I've followed you for years. You are so darn inspiring! Love that little guy and his snake. I hate snakes...but he's just adorable! LOL!!
Thank you Smitty and Sadie! What a fun post and I look forward to following along.
Thanks for the cookie! Sorry I took more a handful! You've shared so many beautiful quilts here, and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing them, but I hadn't thought about making pies for two, so I've learned something too.
Maybe my favorite post ever? But then, you'll probably have another one that puts root beer out my nose, then that one will be my favorite, until you do the next one!
So do love reading your writing and seeing your pics!!!
hugs my dear friend!
You two cats have quite a talent for creative writing! Thanks for introducing yourselves, your mom, and her wonderful quilts and photos. (Oh, and nice to see your dad, too.) The Meet and Greet is such a great way to meet quilt bloggers.
P.S. Love the flammingos, especially.

Wow, we have a lot in common! Quilting, 2 cats, baking (is that multi-grain a sour-dough? I never seem to lose any weight either so why not make bread!?!), gardening, canning, etc! Lovey intro!
Brilliant! Sadie & Smitty, you did a wonderful job posting on Mom's blog today. You picked excellent photos to show Mom off...and Dad too. Way to go!!
This is a great introduction post.

Great view of your life. Purrrfect.
Love the quilts. The photos are great. Wow.
Wonderful tour of your blog. Thank you catbassadors!
I enjoyed your Blog and pictures! We use to travel quite a bit but then fostered 2 kittens which we ended up keeping plus a year later, we got my mother-in-law's cat. We really enjoy them.
lol. That's a good cat purrspective. Your work is always beautiful, Barbara.
Nice to meet you on the Quilter's Meet and Greet! We share a lot of the same interests - quilting, gardening, cooking, handwork. Will follow on Bloglovin!
Smitty & Sadie: You have done such a super job telling us about your Mom & Three Cats Ranch!! I follow your Mom & love the busy & fun adventures you all have there, Thanks for sharing today with us! :)
Thanks for the review of Mom (and Dad). They aren't old, just seasoned. If my kids dad hadn't walked out we would have been married 44 years last week - the day he had the second major surgery of the week. Paybacks are such a &*(#*! What beautiful quilts, food, and pix. I follow you on Bloglovin' and enjoy. Thanks for participating in the Meet and Greet.
So nice to meet you both! And those portraits your Mom did of you are wonderful! I really enjoyed my visit with you (please ask Mom to give you some special skritches on my behalf).
Barbara, please tell your purrrrrfect pets thank you for introducing you to all of us. ;) The portraits of the cats are wonderful! Nice job.
Aha, you write a wonderful story, and your travelling, well done. The garden, I can see you have favourite places there, and do you ever do CAT scans to help out? I have so enjoyed meeting you. Can you tell, cats, any size, shape or colour are my total favourites.
What a charming post. I've dropped in from time to time from link-ups or comments on other blogs. That first dahlia photo is gorgeous and I've admired your embroidery.
I follow Sharon Vrooman and remember your RV stop there during your roundabout.
