A Giveaway: Eight is Great!

I'm sorry...this giveaway is now closed.

Wahoo! As you probably know, we're away for a few days, but that can't stop me from inviting you to help me celebrate my 8th Blogiversary today. Who'd a thought I'd still be blogging eight years on when I started Cat Patches way back in 2010? A lot of water has passed under that bridge, and it's been so much fun! I've met so many wonderful and generous quilters, and it was fantastic meeting a few of you when we traveled around the United States over the past year. The time seems to have flown by.

Sadie and Smitty have on their best purrty duds, and they are ready to PURRTEEE! Smitty is especially excited to be here.

Geez, Mom, it's empurrassing to be dressed up this way.

So...thanks for coming everybody! I have something you're really going to like as my way of saying thank you for being such good friends. Today I'm giving away a seven fat quarter bundle of Darling Isabelle by Dena Designs for Free Spirit Fabrics.

Aren't these so pretty and summery? Something cheerful and bright for these summer days. So what do you have to do to win?

1. Just leave a comment...any comment will do. If you can't think of anything, then tell me about your summer vacation plans. Since the giveaway is to thank you for following along over the years, this prize is reserved for followers only...new, old, salty, sweet, bitter, and twisted...just step on up and tell me how you follow. If you want to become a follower, you can find lots of ways to do it there in my left side bar. Also, I will ship internationally, so all residents of Planet Earth are welcome to join in.

2. If you're no reply, be sure to leave an email address. You can't win if I can't contact you.

I'll leave this giveaway open through Monday, July 16th and announce the winner sometime on Tuesday, July 17th. Good luck and thank you!

Congrats on 8! Love your log, but I don’t think I am an official follower. Since I check in everyday, I haven’t felt the need, but I think I will do that now. I have also recently started following your fb page. Love all the Quilty and feline info, jokes and memes. Thank you for your excellent writing, your wonderful photos, and especially your amusing alliteration. I love that you find interesting things to write about almost everyday and miss those days when you are silent. Here’s to another 8 at least!

When I saw your "pawtrait" of the cat that you did I just kept coming back to it and looking at every detail. I am amazed that it is possible to get such a realistic likeness using fabric and I hope to try the technique sometime. It was intriguing. Any how, congrats on the 8 years of blogging. You have a lot to show for it!

wow, 8 years is a lot of words! Happy Blogiversary, who'da thunk it? We set off next week to go dancing in GA. Well, first we have to go visit 98yr old papa in AL. Then back to GA & dancing, then on to Helen. Pretty sure you went up that way last summer. You may recall it's a Tyrolean type tourist trap. But there's a Coast to Coast camp and an old Army buddy up there, so there will be massive quantities of food (and maybe beer) and some cheap sleeps. Then it's on to NC, to visit former dancing friends, then up to VA to visit the kids & grands, then back down to Myrtle Beach, SC to visit more dancing friends, then off to a week at Jekyll Island. THAT's the part I'm really looking forward to! With any luck, we'll be joined there by a couple of other couples who have been out all summer, dancing their way around the countryside. AFter all that, I think we're about ready to put the house on the market and start looking for a more permanent residence. Not sure how I feel about that. Not the market and move part that has me worried, it's the "more permanent" residential search....I know you've been in your current home for quite some time, but I've never ever been anywhere more than 9 years in a row....how does that even work? Don't you get tired of the same 4 walls?

Dearest Barbara,

The Bluenose is the schooner pictured on the back of the Canadian dime.

I love your blog and read it every morning as I check my emails.
This summer has been a busy one with us. We started in SoCa in April with the wedding of a nephew, then a daughter came home from an 18 month mission, and surprising another daughter at her girls camp.
And now today, my husband and I are enjoying one last day with our oldest daughter and her new born daughter before we have to return to Texas. The rest of the summer will be shown with house repairs and doctors appointments.
Thanks for sharing your days with me!

Congratulations to eight successful years blogging. As I sit here writing this, Ben, our orange tabby is at my elbow! Have you seen the Cat Applique Quilt from Shiny Happy World? It's been on my list for about two years, but with the birth of my first grandchild, a girl named Isabella Rose, it's been put on the back burner. I thought you might like because it shows many different kinds of cats and you can personalize it.
