But here's the thing: I know my cousin couldn't give a rat's behind what my house looks like, or whether I make something delicious for dinner and breakfast...although I'm sure "delicious" would be preferred over the alternative. Nevertheless, when company comes, it's an excellent time to get things done you've been meaning to get done for the past five years. That will give you some idea how often company shows up here at the Three Cats Ranch...although we issue invitations on a minute-by-minute basis. It's probably the cats. Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's the cats. Or maybe people are just afraid they'll end up pictured on the blog. I don't know, but those are my guesses.
In any case, I'm here today to tell you that the reason I'm able to blather on here day after day after day, year after year after year is because I take pictures of everything I do throughout the day, no matter how large or small, significant or insignificant, interesting or boring...it'll end up on my camera. And then I upload the pictures to my blog, and the story tells itself. Well. This morning I looked at my camera screen to see what exciting things I'd done yesterday while strenuously avoiding anything resembling housework, and this is what I saw:
"Memory contains no images"
And I said, in the most exasperated tone I could muster, "Well, you don't have to be so snotty about it."
So here I sit, empty-headed, in my messy house, still strenuously avoiding anything that might resemble housework.
Not only that, but because I am an expert at prattling, I've managed write several paragraphs just so I could tell you that I'm taking a break from blogging for a couple of days. I'll probably be back on Tuesday or Wednesday. Given my warning of a few days ago, I didn't want you to think I'd been smothered by the heliotrope that ate Los Angeles.

How did you manage to get a picture of me? LOL
Enjoy your guests and we'll catch you on the other side.
Well missy, I KNOW you and there is no way you politely said, "you don't have to be snotty about it". Don't try and fool me! I'm just hoping the poor camera didn't suffer (much) as you beat it and threw it around and used all those words that I know you used!!! Have a great visit with the cuz.
Thank goodness.....I thought you were saying you lost your total memory. lol...enjoy your visitors. They won't care how messy you are.
You're absolutely right - your cousin won't care about any of those things, only that you're there & healthy!
Enjoy your break and your company & we'll see you "on the flip side"!
Have a great visit with your guest , but just so you know I for one will miss your daily updates! Ps I love the cats!!!
have a great catch up time with your cousin.
My cousin is coming also, but instead of cleaning I'll be heading to Key West to spend time with them, that's the way to do it, LOL.
Thanks for the warning. Whatever will I do without you to jump-start my day?????
Hmmmm....that sounds like a really good thing to say next time hubby asks me what it was I was supposed to remind him of or to do. Memory has no images. I do like the sound of that...well, in reference to my mind, not necessarily your camera. Enjoy your visit with Cuz, et al.
he hem great post.
next time schedule ahead with your posts.
Hope you enjoyed your days away from blogging!
You and Mike sound like us. We had family for Thanksgiving last year and we certainly took care of things like getting a new table so we could all sit down and eat together. Such events are very useful for making one get things done.
