It seems like forever ago that I posted a list of goals. You might recall that it was two month's worth because our winter vacation straddled the page turn from January to February. It ended up being a very long list, so let's see how we did.
Quilting and Flimsies
1.
2. Make a flimsy from some bee blocks I almost forgot about from last year. Complete!
WIP's
3. Continue on with Blocks 41-44 for the Live, Love, Teach quilt. Complete!
4. There are also two blocks that will need to be remade. Complete!
5. Make the next section for A Quiltmaker's Garden. Complete!
6. Add another row of blocks to the Mulligan Stew quilt. Complete!
7. Make the next block for It's Raining Cats and Dogs: Complete!
8. Make the next section for the Mumm's the Word quilt. No progress. Commence with excuses: A Quiltmaker's Garden took so much longer than expected. When I looked at the next section for Mumm's the Word, it too was going to take a long time and I got discouraged. That's the best I can come up with, but let me think on it for a while, and I'm sure I can come up with something else. How about this: the ship I was on struck an iceberg. Hm, no ship, and therefore, no iceberg, but give me some time.
9. Finish the remaining four blocks for the Yard Art quilt. Complete! Thank goodness!
Monthly Challenges
10. I'd like to make both the January and February blocks for

So...the mistake happened right away in the center of the block. It was going to mean remaking the whole thing, and you know what? I didn't feel like it. So, I get an "A" for effort, but it's not a passing grade. Better luck next time.

Complete! If you've been following along, you know I changed my project since setting this goal. Nevertheless, I'm caught up with January and February now, and here are my two blocks for the months of January and February.

There are still some quilts in my quilts to be quilted pile...there's all waiting their turn very impatiently. With that in mind, I'd sure like to get these three little quilts quilted. No Progress.
So...no bonus points, but still...not a bad showing for two months. Let's see what's on tap for March.
March is a long month, so there's a lot of calendar real estate there. It seems like a good time to switch things up a little and do some just-for-fun projects along with the meat and potatoes.
Quilting and Flimsies
1. I have four small quilts to quilt, but I forgot to mention the orange Four Fabric Forest. For March, I'd like to get all four of these itty bitties quilted and bound.

In the past, I've always made these blocks two months at a time. Since they were all cut the same way, it made sense to do them in pairs. For this year's project, the blocks will all be different, and so I'm planning to keep up month-by-month (she says, crossing her fingers behind her back).

There are some perfect fabrics in my stash to make this table runner for spring.
Just for Fun
8. I'm participating in another Pay it Forward event, and so I'm going to get started by making this little kleenex cover for a friend. There are lots of tutorials and patterns for these online, but I kind of liked this one from Fun with Barb. I like the little edging at the opening.
9. Next I want to make up the little iron caddy from the pattern I picked up in Reno. I'm attending a class at the end of April, and I want it finished by then.
There is a perfect scrap of leftover quilt back in my stash. I used this for the back on the Line Dancing quilt I made for my laundry room way back when.
10. Finally, I want to get started on Maggie's Pawtrait. I'm still trying to get the best picture possible of her, and I'm hoping I can get her to look directly into the camera lens. If not, I'll go with this image. It shows off her pretty blue eyes so nicely.
That's probably a long enough list, but I always need something for bonus points.
If I can finish all of that, I'm going to take a stab at the Sonora quilt from one of my photographs.

Even if it was two months, that was an impressive list you completed! And some really fun things for March.
I am exhausted just reading your finishes and futures, girl! I need some of your vitamins, I think. Saw your feature at Val's for camping....so recognizable :) And oh, that landscape should be beautiful.
Commence with the excuses, I don't think you need to make excuses since I agree with Debbie, I'm exhausted just reading all of this and I want some of your vitamins, don't tell me it's just healthy living LOL.
Yep, I agree, no excuses needed. Love the way the Stars & Stripes quilt ended up. Lucky you had Smitty to, uh, help you with the layout. I'm sure you never would have finished it so fast without his help!
