Lucky Leap Day Giveaway

Sorry, this giveaway has now ended.

Well, I promised you a Leap Day Giveaway, and I never renege on my promises, so here we go.

Remember when I visited that quilt shop in Reno? The one that wouldn't cut a fat quarter for me? And to get the width of fabric I needed, I had to purchase a half yard? Which amounted to two fat quarters? Well. My friend Dar suggested giving the other one away, and I thought that was an absolutely spectacular idea! Thanks, Dar. In fact, everybody please thank Dar for her great idea.

Here's the fabric I'm talking about:

So, I have a fat quarter of that to give away, but that's not all. The lucky winner will also win this One of a Kind handmade ceramic pin that I picked up at the Stitches in Bloom quilt show back in January.

Nice, huh? Won't you be the envy of all your friends sporting that around your guild or local quilt shop?

So what do you have to do to win these prizes? Well, here's the deal. Leave me a comment, any comment will do. But if you need an idea, Just tell me how you'll be spending your Leap Day. Be sure to leave your email if you are set at no-reply. No way to contact you equals no chance to win. This giveaway is open to all residents of Planet Earth, so all are welcome to participate.

I'll leave this giveaway open from midnight to midnight (PST), Monday, February 29th, 2016, or Lucky Leap Day to you. Good luck, Everybody!

Great giveaways! Thanks for offering them. I have to run some errands today so I am hoping to stop by the quilt shop for some fabric. I should be able to get some sewing done this afternoon. Have a happy leap day!

I wish I could say Leap Day was a day to spend quilting, but unfortunately, it is just another day to shuttle the kids around, make supper, pick up the house, etc. Same Ole - Same ole.

Thanks, Dar! I'm on my way to a routine doctor appointment, something I hate to waste time on on one of my Usual Days! After that, back to that ever present conflict between either doing things on my list or being a total slacker. Place your bets . . .

This is a one of a kind pin. We are having heavy rains today, so my Leap Year Day will be spent playing in a pile of new scraps - JOY.

I read your blog every day, as much for the quilting as for the kitty news. We have a rambunctious 1 year old that gives us lots of joy.

Love the giveaway items. I don't know if you'll have Smitty or Maggie do the drawing, but I hope they pick me. Today I will work on a quilt top I'm trying to finish up for a class sample. Hope your day is wonderful.

It's finally going to be warm and a bright sun filled day so I'll be spending part of the day outside checking out the garden and seeing what I'm in store for this summer. The other part is going to be sewing on one or two BOM's that I need to catch up on. Thanks for the chance at the pin and fabric. Rina

Just spent my morning getting all of my March bills taken care of. Ugh! But, on the bright side, I now know how much money I have available to spend at my LQS! Yay! If everything goes as planned, the rest of the day will be spent in front of my trusty sewing machine! :-)

My bonus day has been spent by going to Fat Club, then taking father shopping then trying to get to grips with my new car by reading the manuals.

Oh, Barb. I just learned that my uncle died this morning. Sad news, as he was a vibrant man and his daughter is one of my dearest friends on the planet. But I plan to spend the day writing down some of my favorite memories of him and digging up some old pictures to share with her. I doubt I'll be able to get to the funeral, so perhaps this will be a way to send some comfort.

We are painting the bathroom today. It is really small so it will take about 15 minutes after my husband gets through with the "prep". Love the fabric and the quilt pin!

It is just a normal day at work (except dealing with the beginnings of a nasty cold) SIGH!.

Great idea Dar. :) That fabric would be a nice addition to the Play with Me quilt I am making from a BOM. Thanks for the chance to win two great prizes.

Sadly, today is just another workday for me.

Beth, I am sure his daughter will really appreciate your memories and photos. I am sorry for your loss.

I've been joining in a FB webinar on essential oils off & on throughout the day. Very interesting. Also working a bit in the yard since it's in the mid 70's here today. Hopefully I'll get to some embroidery work on a vintage kitchen towel in front of the TV tonight.
Was in Vegas last October. That fabric is so fun. And the pin is so cute.

My leap year day was spent working, and now browsing the net when I should be sewing. I started off my day wishing my best friend a happy "4th" anniversary! Thanks for the opportunity, love your blog and sense of humour.

Please excuse me if this posts twice - I'm not sure what happened the first time as my cat jumped up to say hello!

I went for a long walk, cut out a bazillion (actually only 132) teardrops for honeybee blocks and cleaned up my sewing room. A day well spent!

Thanks for the great giveaway. After waiting for it to stop raining this morning I was able to take my morning walk and by that time it was time for lunch. I then caught up on some tv shows, did some reading and then cleaned half of the carpet in my family room. Only half because I wouldn't want to spend too much time on housework. I hope you had a great leap day.
