It's Our Fifth Blogiversary Celebration and Giveaway!!!

This Giveaway is now Closed. Sorry you missed the party.

Strike up the band! It's time to PARRRRRRRRRRR-TY!!!

Gracie, What's up with Mom this morning? She's acting even more weird than usual.

I don't know, Smitty...something about flogging for five years.

Five years! Holy Mouse Tails! I haven't even been alive that long.

You should have seen her before, Smitty. It was purrthetic. She used to walk around the house muttering to herself all the time. Words, words, words. All the time words. The woman just can't stop talking. And then she started flogging. And then came the camera and it was just flash, flash, flash. All the time with the flash.

I've noticed that, Gracie. What is that thing?

Let's just hope this purrty puts an end to all the nonsense, Smitty. She wants us to tell the people what they can win if they'll just put up with her tails for a little while longer. Sigh. It's a cat's life, I'll tell you.

So here's the deal. Listen up out there. She's got this really soft squishy bed meowterial. Cats like sleeping on it. For some reason you people like cutting it into little pieces and sewing it back together. Smitty...do not ask me to explain because I can't. It's this 16-fat quarter bundle of Ruby Beauty by Art Gallery Fabrics.

Man, Gracie! I could make a seriously cozy bed out of that. Spurrinkle a little catnip on it, and let the snoozing begin. What do we have to do to win?

Don't be ridiculous, Smitty. Cats can't win. It's only one of the things that makes cat life such a drag...at least around here.

Just leave a comment...any comment will do. And since our mom wants to thank everybody who follows along (and who knows why you'd want to?), this giveaway is fur followers only...new, old, salty, sweet, bitter, and twisted. Just be a follower and the world is your tuna.

Isn't that supposed to be "oyster", Gracie? The world is your oyster?

Gack, Smitty. Do you want to eat one of those slimy balls of snot? Stick with tuna, Little Man. And purrty on, because this purrty will be going on until Friday, July 17th. After that, everybody's gonna choose a whisker and the shortest whisker wins. Keep your cheeks covered, Little Man. It's gonna get ugly.

Maybe we should invite Uno over, Gracie. He's got lots of whiskers on his ugly mug.

Fur once, I think you're onto something, Smitty. Is your phone charged up? You call him. But don't say anything about the whiskers, okay? It'll be out secret.

My cats are devoted readers and really enjoy hearing about Smitty's escapades since they are not allowed outside. As for me, I appreciate that you do not sell anything or use sponsors and I look forward to reading what you have to say every morning. Thanks too for introducing me to Block Lotto, I can hardly believe I won last month.

Wow 5 years of flogging and I've only bean a furllower for three of them. That means I've missed out on two years of fun, games sewing and cats. I'd better take a day off and catch up what I've missed. Picasso hopes we win the giveaway as he says that fabric would look fabulous with him lying on it. It sure would show off his black fur to purrfection. I love your blog, it's my happy fix of the day.

I always have at least 2 cats watching and "helping" me when I'm laying out quilt blocks. They seem to think it's a giant puzzle and they want to "play", too. They are so helpful! LOL!

Congrats on your blogiversary! Five years is a long time for cats; they take no notice of time unless it has something to do with 1) nap time or 2) food.

I remember finding your blog because of the gorgeous "Ladies Dancing" quilt you created and donated to the AAQI. I was so taken with that quilt that I dug around until I located your brand new blog. Hard to believe it's been only five years... Feels more like ten !~!

Beth said...

You bet I'm a follower. I'm awfully glad Smitty found his way home in time for the party--I'm still a bit shaken and cranky thinking of you calling for him in the middle of the night until he sauntered home. If there are whiskers that need tugging...
