Sunflowers

Yesterday I was able to get some quilting done on my sunflower table runner despite trying to blow the whole day on procrastination. When I left off with this on Monday, I'd started pebbling the flower centers.

When I'd finished all three blocks, I switched to a yellow thread on top and then stitched some petals into the yellow flower.

When those were finished, I switched to a green thread and stitched some veins into the leaves. I only finished one block before needing to stop for the day. Actually, I was getting tired of working on it by then.

Here's how it's looking from the back. I've turned down the brightness and bumped up the contrast a little so that you can see it.

It's still up in the air what I'll do in the turquoise background, but for sure I'll want to outline those leaves. They look a little like fish skeletons from the back. That's what I'll be working on today. Maybe I'll get the quilting finished on this one today.

The Blogger's Quilt Festival starts tomorrow. I'll be entering two quilts. I hope to see your quilts there.

Your quilting is looking great, Barbara.

Hey Barbara what thread are you using for the top? I love the way it looks...all thick and lustrous...or maybe luscious. In any case, love it and the quilting you're doing.
