Yesterday Mike and I went out running errands, but it was such a nice day that we stopped off to see the eagles' nest at the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge near our place. We didn't see the eagles, but the nest was in plain view. You can see that the tree fell over, and the park employees have propped it back up for the eagles.
There are still throngs of ducks and geese in the pond, but they were much quieter on this afternoon than they were on the morning that Sue and I visited.
Today Eliza's Koala table was delivered and set up, and she's feeling pretty darned regal in her new digs. The table was out of stock the day we purchased the machine. It gives me about an additional six inches of space on either side of the machine. Mike and I also picked up a small craft table yesterday so I'll have places to put some things.
While they were setting that up, I went downstairs and finished up the fifth of five pay-it-forward gifts. I know the recipient of this one reads my blog, and so I can only give you a peek until it reaches her. Here's a hint though: Magic!
So now that my new table is set up, I'm going to continue on with my quilting. Here's one more shot of the tree. Enjoy it, because it will soon be finished with its fall show.
Mike took yesterday and today off for Veteran's Day, and so it has felt like a week of Sundays here. I have chicken and dumplings in the crockpot for dinner, and I'm going to enjoy the rest of my day. I hope you're having a nice day too.

Sadly, all our trees have shed and into their slumber. We have had a couple of very spring like days - a tease - as the cold and snow will be here by Friday and thru the weekend. Crockpot cooking days for sure with some serious sewing time.
Those Autumn photos are gorgeous and something that's no longer visible here, under our layer of 1", or so, of snow and frozen rain! The new table is gorgeous!!!
Like your table and set up. It is winter here with frigid cold and snow. An early winter.
The table is really beautiful. The leaves are long gone here and the very early cold snap is here for at least the next 2 weeks (according to the weatherman)! I'm hoping this winter won't be as snowy and cold as last winter.
Oooh! Eliza's table is gorgeous. I prefer those rounded corners on tables, as I am full of klutzy Smith genes.
Thanks for the wonderful Fall photos too - you know fall here, brown trees in front of the green ones. Very few get the full-range of color changing. At least it's cooled down again here, from the 90s of last week! I've been working on some horrible transcriptions - had to give 2 back because I couldn't understand what they were saying at all. Ugh. The last one I have is a little better, but the danged Dr. just talks sooo fast!
I've got a whole chicken in my crockpot right now, so I'll have some to take for my lunch tomorrow. I'll be helping out at my friend's print shop. It was frozen when I put it in so I couldn't get the 'stuff' out of it. Finally did, but just left it to the side of the pot for now, and threw some seasonings in. Of course, it will be smelling so good cooking, I'll no doubt keep waking up all night long! LOL
That table is beautiful, Eliza must be so happy to finally have it. I'm wearing long sleeved tees and pulled out a hoodie the other day, winter is here too :)
Beautiful tree. Now that we have had our first freeze, ours will start loosing leaves. The Red Oaks here do not drop all leaves till Mid January and start budding in March!
Eliza looks very regal in her new table!
Your table for Eliza is very nice. What is the total dimensions of it? You are all set to quilt away during the upcoming snow and cold weather. Beautiful tree.
