Wall Art

This hangs on the wall at the hospital. I see a quilt here.

Mike is very much improved today. His white cell count is "stable" and so it seems the infection is finally clearing. He will be in the hospital at least through the weekend. Hopefully home after that. Fingers crossed.

Thank goodness. You have both been much on my mind and this is happy news. Hugs. :) You're right, it would be a beautiful quilt.

I can certainly see one of your appliqué quilts in that wall hanging. It's lovely to hear that the antibiotics have kicked in and are doing their job and Mike is improving. Hopefully he wont have too much longer in hospital.

I see a quilt there, too. I saw many such pieces of art in hospital halls that I thought would make nice quilts. I have my fingers and toes crossed!

I am very glad to hear that the positive news, but Still I will be praying.

I wanted to link you a little Quilt Porn to inspire you: http://park19.wakwak.com/~noriko/

She uses a very interesting technique to make landscaped quilts using scraps and shredded bits of fabric!

Such good news, to hear that Mike's counts are settling down. I'll bet he is exhausted, and he's probably not the only one. Gracie is probably a bit worn out from the stress of having him away from home. Still--good news is a fine way to start a new month. Warm thoughts coming your way. xxx Beth

Let's hear it for improvements, no matter how few or how small! Trees definitely look like a quilt-to-be. My next sewing project is a little more umm...challenging? I took possession today of 2 snake skins...that need to be trimmed & sewn to a fabric-covered piece of stabilizer, quilted in necessary. One's a diamondback rattler and I'm really not sure what the other one is. Something brown with triangular markings...that reminded me of a quilt. What's wrong with us, anyway, that we see quilts everywhere. Last night, I held up a piece of Romaine lettuce, with a gorgeous gradient from lemon-yellow to darkest of green...and asked hubby, "wouldn't this make the prettiest fabric?" crazy.

Fingers crossed, my quilty-bloggy friend, I'm hopeful for healing and coming home. Both of which cannot be thought highly enough of these days.

Good news about Mike. Glad to hear he is improving and will soon be home. Yes, that does lend itself to becoming a quilt. One that you could do with ease.
